Thanks for the replies guys :). Especially the bit about Bluebuds going further into the ear canal. I definitely wouldn't like that either.

I think I'll go with the Powerbeats 2!

I've been seriously considering a pair ever since I found out you can store music on the  Watch, but was kind of thrown off by the $200 price tag for the powerbeats. Looked around Amazon for a while and wasn't crazy about anything, and then last night I happened across these.

This is supposedly a 'new version', and seems to have a lot of great reviews. They're arriving Tuesday and I'll try them out/post back here if they're any good.

I got the green ones though. Really want to get the green sport band now too :D

jaybird blubuds with Conmplyform SMALL tips.

I went through 5 sets of earbuds because i didnt like the original ones and the complyfoam small fit great and dont need to go in crazy since they are small and snug

A lot of the one star reviews are because of the voice and audio being out of sync when watching a video, which has since been fixed with a firmware update.

And seriously who is watching a video and working out at the same time? Unless it's a workout video.

I bought the March 2015 version of the powerbeats 2 and no issues with syncing however I get the occasional continuous dropout due to poor bluetooth even though my phones in my pocket. I have read this may be a common issue

I have not experienced that at all. I go to the gym and leave my phone in my gym bag and leave the bag on the floor while I bench and do squats. Sometimes even walking up to 50 ft away and no cutting out.

Are comply tips a must have for superior performance? Or is it more for people who cannot get a proper seal with the manufacturer's tips/find the stock tips uncomfortable?

I'm trying to determine if comply tips are a "must-have".

I'm also interested in a set of bluetooth headphones. Something like the PowerBeats2 look ideal. Not cheap, but I don't mind paying for a good quality product if they are indeed worth it.

My only issue is that when reading some of the Apple store reviews people have said their battery went flat and then it wouldn't charge and have had to get them replaced several times for the same issue. Sure, a simple answer is to just not let the batteries go flat, but sometimes these things happen for one reason or another. However, just like when my phone battery goes flat I expect to be able to plug it in and let it charge.

Has anyone on here had their PowerBeats2 battery go flat and then had issues re-charging it? Other than that issue the reviews seem pretty good. However it is a pretty big issue.

So is this something to be concerned with?

I actually decided to buy both, I can always use headphones so I'll be trying both the jaybird and powerbeats.

They are (all of the above). Don't fight it, order a set, and report back.

I've just picked up a pair of Meelectronics Air-Fi Matrix2 and have been very impressed with them. They'll pair with two different devices, which is a must for me.

I did a lot of research and narrowed it down to 3 different models.

Power beats 2

Jabra Rox

Bluebuds X

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. Ultimately, I settled on the Jobra Rox model because I like the way the magnetic on/off worked. I did a fair amount of research and I read that the Jobra sounds the best too, but at this level I think you can't go wrong with any of them. Plus, they're cheaper and I didn't want a B in my ear.

Well I went for it and bought the Powerbeats2 earlier. Now sat in my lounge listening to music wirelessly with them in my ear!

Wow the sound is awesome!!! Very comfy too. I would highly recommend.

Went to my local Apple Store and they had a specific guy that had a small box of sample versions of the various ear buds with a fresh set so everyone who wants to can try them on! Fantastic idea and just so reminded me of why I love apple.

Tried the Bluebuds X but as was pointed out earlier in this thread I didn't like how far into the ear canal they go, and they also felt unstable like they would fall out.

The Powerbeats2 are ridiculously comfy. Genuinely easy to forget you are wearing them, even though you have music going into your head!

Just picked up the Power Beats 2 wireless and have been using with my phone at the gym while I wait for the watch. Really impressed with the sound and build quality. So much so that I got my wife and daughter a pair as well.

The weird thing is I've done that too without any issues but it's so unpredictable because when I did that I had no issues whatsoever but then the next day in my pocket there was a period it kept clipping or cutting out continuously...weird?

I bought a pair in March also and also have dropouts. According to the Beats website you should keep it in your left pocket. This is because the left earphone has the Bluetooth module.

It doesn't seem to happen when I am indoors. Generally only happens when I am outside. I'm figuring it has something to do with the signal bouncing off the walls when inside. I can go a good distance away from my iPhone when I am inside without any skipping.

Where does beats state that it should be in left pocket? If this is the case it's pretty poor that it drops out when it's in one pocket and not the other, Despite only a tiny difference in length away from Bluetooth module.

And I wonder what effect this will have on the connection direct to Apple watch instead of a phone.

Seams that PowerBeats 2 Wireless are the ones to go with but spending $200 on earbuds right after spending about $1.7 Grand on the Apple Watch & Bands sounds a bit too painful on my bank account.

These are new to the market and I love them more than the power beats or jays. Sol Republic Shadow. Also allows you to concurrently be paired with two different sources.

I have a question for the powerbeats 2 owners.

How's the battery life?

More importantly, if the battery dies can you use them while they charge? And how long is the charging cable?

They are supposed to last about 6 hours and based on my experience that seems about right.

I haven't tried, but I don't think you can use them while charging. The supplied USB cord is only about three inches long.

I have used them for several hours and they are still going great, light use and they're still going after one week.

Power cable is very short so even if you could listen while charging it would be very uncomfortable due to length of cable.

Were you aware that they have a power charge so that after a quick 15 minute charge you can get 1 hour playback? Pretty cool I reckon for those times you are going for a workout and forgot to charge them

They use a standard mini usb connector so I guess someone could try it out and report back. I will try if I get a chance.
