[Merged] iPhone - White vs. Black (2010 / iPhone 4 Edition)

What do you like better? White or Black?

Remember there's another good reason to get white iPhone for it will attract sunlight less, thus making it a tiny bit cooler than the black one. 🙂

But my main reason for getting white iPhone is to match my race. 😎
 
One thing I don't like about the white are the lines that surround the screen on the iPhone. You know how the screen in the middle and than around that is a thin area with no graphics around the screen?

Nothing screams manly like placing some balls next to your mouth when you talk on the phone.

No. Makes no sense. Whoever thinks white is girly is associating white with being feminine. It's not.

I was originally going to say that until the color "pastel pink" came to mind.
 
I have had a white iPhone since the 3g and I personally have never found it to be "girly" but i remember when the 3G was new and people would see the white iPhone for the first time they would make comments about it being "girly".. But by the time the 3GS came out it seemed people are used to seeing them in both white & black so i think that "girly" image has drastically faded.. AT LEAST I HOPE! lol

I'm going with the white one for the iPhone4 as well
 
My girlfriend and I were looking at the new iPhone 4 on apple's website and when she saw the white one her exact words were " that one's cute"! Right then I thought to myself, black it is!!

It's on the black, too, but you just can't see it.

But I'm still not sure which color I want.
Leaning toward white.
 
Ive been totally agonizing over these colors! But in the copious amounts of side by side pictures on the net i have found the white to be the better looking color and it shows of the newness of the i4 more so when compared to the black. Plus the black in all these pictures ive seen has been so grimy looking with the new glass back.
 
Probably go for white this time with the green bumper, wife wants white with orange bumper. Always had black (3g and 3gs). 🙂🙂
 
I'm a guy and I currently have a white 3GS, but I'm going to go with black when I get an iPhone 4 in a couple weeks. I always wondered why they didn't make the front of the white 3GS the same color as the back, but now I can see why. It looks horrible and really girly.

I really want the white one but do you think that outline will get irritating to look at? It's really only visible on the black in the sunlight.

I disagree. I think the white is more fun and youthful, while the black is more sophisticated and professional. That being said, I still can't make up my mind! I have a white 3GS and never once have I regretted it. I think it looks great. But I still need some convincing about the white front.
 
I'm going for white because I hated the constant smudges and fingerprints all over my black 3gs and the white will not show up as much as the black. I also think the new white phone looks fresher than the traditional black that I'm used to on an iphone.

Thanks for posting that video. I can't tell what exactly looks bad while watching it; my black bordered MBP or the black bordered iPhone. Either way, it looks like crap.
 
Those who have voted yes...please justify your reason why 'white' is a girly color?

OP...just get whatever color u like...dont worry what anyone says...it would only be girly if you bought a flower case with your phone lol!
