Well called two different times today, and was told both times they are holding shipments that arrive early for delivery on FRIDAY (not earlier), which is why people who have packages at the KY hub are seeing wonky status updates and vanishing delivery dates. Delivery by 10:30 they say (and they wouldn't say it unless it was true).
With that said, if UPS "normally" comes by in the afternoon, that's the "regular" UPS delivery truck (2nd day, 3-day, longer). Express/overnight packages usually have a dedicated truck that sometimes shows up ass early (I've had them arrive at 6:50 am) so they can make their 10:30 deadline for all packages. Soooo I guess we get to wait. At least I get to drop a 500GB drive into my MacBook tomorrow to tide me over...

Mine did the same thing except I reverted back to Alaska with no delivery date. UPS is messing with us.
Someone a few pages back said Apple now has an automated message that says that all iphone orders placed prior to today will be delivered on the 19th. That is hilarious. They got tired of all you people calling them.
Yeah... seriously. All you crazy people calling all the time... Next year we're all going to have to go back to standing in lines like circus freaks to get a phone on launch.
UPS has been quoted several times as saying it will arrive, guaranteed, minus any customs issues, by 10:30 AM Friday.
ups...i went on the ups site and researched the delivery method that is stated and according to UPS it must be delivered by 12
I didn't order any special shipping features but I guess we are all getting it by 10:30?

so i ordered the phone using the upgrade eligibility on one of the lines on my family's family plan (not my line because im not eligible yet)...can i just put the SIM card i had from my Blackberry Bold into the iPhone 3G S and activate it through iTunes? anyone please help thanks
I'm in exactly the same situation with a Blackberry Curve. I spoke to an ATT rep who said that when I get the phone I should call them before I do anything and give them the IMEI number off of the new iPhone and then they will set that up on the line that you are actually going to use. Then you can go ahead and activate through iTunes on the right number.
