did anyone else get an email saying to go to the apple store and check out someone with an orange shirt? Even though you ordered for delivery? I got this email last night, called Apple today and they said my phone will still be delivered tomorrow.
I dont know. I will have to ask when dad gets home.
The phone is my mom's birthday present

I was until this morning, it's now shipping fedex express. Hopefully the rest of the June 8th orders will ship also.
AT&T In-Store Pickup is ON TIME
I ordered mine on the 12th for AT&T in-store pickup, and my UPS status shows that my phone is within 50 miles, and on its way to be delivered by this afternoon!!!!!!! My shipment is actually 2 phones that show together, as I ordered my wifes along with mine. The AT&T rep I ordered with assured me that they wouldnt give me any grief when I come as one person to pick up 2 phones. Im now wondering how many preorders my store will have to service, and whether or not I will need to get there any earlier than 7am (due to the fact that I have to be at work across the street by 7:30). Do you guys see a chance that the pre-order line could be busy??? (location dependent, I know)

FYI, If you ordered from AT&T for home delivery, you'll get much better results if you call the automated online order status system at (866) 391-0749.
I ordered two iPhones -- one 32gb/black 3GS at 1:30AM on 6/9, and another 16gb/white 3GS about 12 hours later. The online order status tool told me the 32gb was shipped but didn't have my order number, and told me that the 16gb was still "in progress."
I called the regular cust supp number, and the rep had no more info than the tool, but she gave me that number and it had a lot more info (including my FedEx tracking information). Also, for my brother's order, it was able to inform me that the "in progress" order will be shipped by the end of the next business day.

i just refreshed my order status page and mine SHIPPED via FedEx and it says

While everyone is here, I might as well ask this question.
When I receive my 3G S, do I put my 3G SIM card in the new phone, or should I use the SIM card that came with the 3G S?
The reason being, if I just switch SIM cards, I'm hoping to avoid having my gf buy a "3G" card from AT&T since she will be using my iPhone 3G. I'm totally noobtastic when it comes to SIM stuff, so any guidance would be helpful.

What the hell is happenning? I too ordered on 8th from Apple online store and the status is not changing for 2 days now... "Prepared for Shipment"
Just wanted to chime in here my order has said "Prepared for Shipment" the last 3 days and said
Ship Date: Jun 19th
Deliver Date: Jun 22nd
I called Apple Store and they said not to worry I will have it by Jun 19th.
So I just received an email that says it has shipped via FedEx with estimated delivery tomorrow before 3pm.
Hopefully everyone else in the same situation will be receiving shipment confirmations soon.

My phone is sitting in KY, still!!! Either that or UPS really hasn't bothered to update ANYTHING. I would expect that if it were to deliver today like UPS has been promising since it first shipped, I should see it on delivery vehicle by now, unfortunately, that is not the case. I know there is still the 19th tomorrow, it will deliver by then for sure, but this hold has been on there for over a day now, c'mon!!!! PLEASE UPS!!! I'M MELTING!
Okay, enough pathetic whining. The reality is, UPS is probably swamped with people like me refreshing their pages every 2 minutes, they probably went out and told all the UPS guys, "quit scanning the iPhones!!!"
Here's hoping that I'll still have a box in my hands today, here's expecting I won't see it until tomorrow.

Man, if I was in the position you guys were in awaiting tracking numbers, I would have been stressing out too. I know that in reality its just a phone, and not worth stressing over, but its fun to allow yourself to be excited about getting something new and cool every now and then. Who said we had to be adults all the time? I relate it to that feeling you use to get as a kid waiting on Christmas morning. Its excruciating to wait, but fun at the same time. LOL (This is for all those that are saying "why are you guys freaking out about not getting your phone on launch?!?)
If our phones are already in the states...then they will be shipped from domestic locations..therefore as they get to each phone today..they will ship them out.
Its still early.
Now..if at 4 - 5 you get nothing...I'd start losing faith.
