If you pre-ordered there is no need to stand in line. My att store just got my phone delivered and I got a call from them. The guy told me that from 7 am- 9am they are doing activation for users that pre-ordered their phones. Won't be seeing me sitting in a line this year around.
I just got my shipping info. Really looks like all the Premier people are getting screwed! My phone shipped UPS 2nd day air this morning meaning delivery on June 22nd. Ugh! What happened to overnight priority? ATT dropped the ball! Next time I will order directly from Apple.

what will be worse is if ATT's activation servers crash...we know this has happened EVERY TIME!!!!

YAY I finally got my tracking number. Its coming Fedex by 3pm tomorrow. Funny thing is that Fedex gets to my house before 12. YAY!!
Logically speaking a single att store won't have such an enormous amount of pre-orders. And in a 2 hour time frame the chances are slim that there will be some crazy lines.

As for mine, I ordered from AT&T retail store at 5:30pm on 6/12/09.
UPS tracking shows order was filled in DFW on 6/17 - late.
Order leaves DFW on 6/17
Arrived in Louisville, KY on 6/17
Left Louisville 4am on 6/18
Arrived in MI 5AM
7:39 out for delivery
10:35 delivered to AT&T store
I'm looking good for pickup tomorrow morning as soon as they open at 7AM.
Question is what Aloha shirt to wear....

If fedex is shipping overnight from china why cant ups get here tomorrow? I cant wait until monday. Or is Fedex shipping from somewhere in the US already?

Actually, Louisville is a nice city. It's about 1.5 hours SW of me and I used to drive down that way quite a bit.
