Agreed.. I never got a notice like that, but I didn't order through AT&T, plus I'm changing an existing line with a more expensive plan than my iPhone will have (paying $45 for data right now). If it was a new line, I'd call and ask to be pro-rated. They're usually pretty accommodating, although the hold time at the call center right now is probably quite long.
Running up UPS's bandwidth bill by hitting F5 every minute.
But seriously, was just packing it in for the night. I have to be at work in the morning, and am trying to come up with a good enough excuse to blow it off.

Well I got off work by emailing my boss and saying that I'm taking a day off to edit my footage. (I'm a director/cameraman)
Although my tracking information initially said that the date would be 6/22 from the moment I got the tracking number. Then apple came out with those emails saying that it would get there the 19th anyway. I really don't have a clue when my phone will get here.
I doubt they knew from the initial shipping that it'd be stuck in HK for days and it would be delayed until the 22nd.

I have a customer whose network is going offline "at some point" because they are having new power meters installed at their facility. For some reason, the local utility doesn't see any reason to actually schedule it in advance.
So sometime soon, I am expecting a call in the middle of the night asking me to help bring a server back up that didn't like losing power for 3 hours.

I pre-ordered on 6/10 and or some reason AT&T's status page says my item has been shipped but I have no tracking # and no email from them yet. This is annoying.

Yeah, I agree. They could not possibly have messed up that badly. I'm still having a bit of faith that mine will show up tomorrow just because it showed 6/22 from the very first time I looked at the tracking #, then they took all the estimated dates down, now its back up with the same. They couldn't have predicted ahead of time that it would miss that flight or whatever.
