Well, as far as the tracking is concerned it has taken the UPS truck two hours to complete a 20min drive so they take their time with updating info. It is possible...dare I say likely....that it is Out for delivery.

Yay! Mine just got here, 9:30 am. So I guess the delivery by 10:30 thing was for real, because usually UPS doesn't get here until late afternoon.

My pre-signed paper is taped to the front door. Hope it doesn't get blown away, and I hope the FedEx guy doesn't screw anything up as he has before. :p

I wouldn't be too worried about the paper. It's the phone in the wild I'd worry about. You think thieves are casing delivery trucks today looking for iPhone drops?

yeah mine took an hour to update the tracking that it was out for delivery

Forget the website now...we will have to use our physical senses to report news about the deliveries. But I still can't quite taste UPS.

There is no 10:30AM guarantee and if you don't believe me watch when 10:30AM comes and goes and many people here still have not received their iPhones.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I believe many of our Apple pre-orders were shipped via UPS "World Ease" with "Express" Service. Their description of "Express" service is here:

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/express.html

And it seems to indicate delivery by either 10:30 or 12:00 with the phrase "guaranteed morning delivery times throughout the world."

For the record, here is their description of World Ease.

You can print out a "Shipment Release Authorization" form if you want UPS to leave it at the front of your door or with your neighbor.

Has anyone in Massachusetts, that ordered on Apple's site received their package yet....would you still be here...no....ok bout time to just let things happen....i'm giving up

For those of you who receive your phones...please keep us updated on how easy they were to activate at home.

Thanks.

I've left a different note on the door.

"Hello UPS person, please come inside and help yourself to some Milk and Cookies in case I'm in the bathroom. Yes, they are in the shape of little UPS trucks....I thought you would like it and it would push me over the edge to even further guarantee I get my iPhone."

Our mailroom lady just walked in, smiled and handed me my phone! Said the UPS guy said he was told to handle with special care! haha....YAY! Phone is active!

Got it about 20 minutes ago, heard the truck, ran out as my dogs barked at him, thanked him and like a 4 year old eagerly opened up my phone and activated it. Took less than five minutes to activate it, now am restoring my first gen backups to it which is taking a little bit. almost done! Question, does anybody know if texts are restored in backups? I love having archived texts from when I first got my phone 2 years ago. Good luck everyone!

I ordered my white 32Gb on AT&T Premier site 6/11. When I got the tracking number email this morning, FedEx claimed delivery by 4:30pm Monday. I was none too happy, because when I ordered it, the website claimed free two day delivery, but there was a special note that stated that all iPhone 3G S orders would be shipped overnight on the 18th for delivery on the 19th. It's coming to my office in East Boston and now shows on the truck for delivery! Wahoo! It's rough 'cause the airport is just down the street, so when ever I'm tracking a package from UPS or FedEx, it comes to East Boston first, then goes into Boston for sorting, then back to East Boston for delivery. I should just go to the airport next time and see if I can help them take it off the plane! ;)
