Yeah.... well I just confirmed that AT&T ALSO put 2 holds on my credit card for $360.70... one on the 9th and one on the 15th. My guess is they screwed up the order on the 9th and resubmitted it on the 15th putting me back at the end of the line?
AT&T managed to screw up my tracking number (they didn't email or update the order status with it). But I called FedEx, and they'll give you the status of a package if you give them your address (although they won't give you the tracking number for it).
It's out for delivery. 16GB White for wife and 32GB black for me.

Everyone's Experience Can Vary Even With Same Vendor
My ATT Store transaction went smoothly. I arrived at the mall and got in at 6:45 a.m. Only two of us were in line. Then about ten minutes later there were probably ten to fifteen people in line. The sorted us out and had a check list run with each person (they of course wanted to sell accessories). I got in the store at 7:00 a.m. and was the first one out in ten minutes. They did activate the phone in store. I had an existing account with a total of three phone lines so I don't know if that helped or not.
I noted that there was a SIM switch, and the box had my name on it. So they just weren't pulling boxes at random from whatever inventory they had.
The Apple Store in the same mall had two lines with about 30 in each line. My friend was a first time purchaser and he was in and out in about one half hour.
I hope everyone had an equally good process. The 3G s was worth the upgrade IMHO even though I had to pay $499.00. I probably could have lived with the 2G with 3.0 OS no sweat, but it is faster.

Yes, mine says the same thing. Delivery date shows today. I am in Danville.
Got my at work around 10 AM EST this morning. UPS driving said they were briefed on these this morning and they are not allowed to let anyone but the addressee sign for them.

I was JUST going to post about how I haven't gotten my phone yet and the UPS guy just pulled up! Opening the package now....
Unbelievable!!! UPS says they delivered my iphone at 10:28 this morning, but it is most definitely NOT AT MY HOUSE! No signature was taken, and UPS usually leaves everything in my side door to the garage.
I've never had this happen before.
They must have delivered to the wrong house or something.
I called UPS and they said they will start a trace which could take 1-8 business days!!

Are you sure there was no one else at your house who might have gotten it? Dad/Mom, brother/sister, gf/bf, spouse, kids? Anyone?

Wow, even more unbelievable!! Credit where credit is due....UPS came back to my neighborhood within 2 hours of delivery, found the package at 138 instead of 128...and brought me the package!
Great follow up service by UPS, and I now have my iphone!!!
Apparently my iPhone didn't get delivered because I wasn't available. I left the presign but I guess I have to be there in person with photo id to sign for it.
It hasnt come for me...

im about ready to grab a laptop with a webcam, set that to view the street and set up a vnc server on it and have me watch the street from my pc.
