I can see the end of the street now through the window. But, cant see it if it already drove past. Which would be when the sound the truck makes happens, when it is driving past the area I can see.

I tried the webcam and VNC route, but the camera wasnt too good quality :p.
 
I was second to pick up my iPhone at my local AT&T store. Now, it has about 7GB more of data to sync and my 1st Gen iPhone is doing a wipe right now before I switch it to another line.

How were the lines there? Or were the majority of people there just to pick up the phone (pre-orders)?
 
anyone know if the FedEx delivery by 3:00 pm is a guarantee? I have someone at home 'til 2:00 to sign for it but can't miss much work. Think it'll be close?

I have a bad feeling about this. Both FedEx drivers have been by my office today already and no iPhone. FedEx phone support won't help me at all. Grrrrrr

Already walked to the front door to see if the FedEX truck is there about 12 times in the last hour....

Run there everytime I hear a car...... still no iPhone... sill "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" which it became that status at 8 am..... its 1:10 pm here......

I’m in NC as well, just got mine delivered at about 12:30 PM EST!
 
Finally got mine a few hours ago... haven't set it up yet... was helping a co-worker who was a first time iphoner... gonna go home now and set it up on my Mac...

Anyone who is waiting for theirs to be activated... we plugged his into his computer and iTunes and it went through the sync and everything, then we waited a bit... finally found the number to call to activate... computer lady said they were extremely busy, up to a 30 min wait... but then gave us an option to activate our new iPhone, enter the cell number, turn off phone for 5 min, and voila!

Thanks for the tip. UPS did come back about an hour and 45 minutes later, found the device at 138 instead of 128 and brought it right to me. Great service by the local UPS crew. Accidents happen, but they corrected it very quickly.

I am syncing my new iphone now!!! Takes a while to fill 32gigs I guess! lol
 
omfg the UPS guy missed my house. What a n00b. I get 329482390 packages a year and never has one driver not been able to find my house. Called UPS and yelled. She is calling the driver. He better turn around.
 
Damn I didn't know EXPRESS meant it'd try to deliver earlier. Usually my UPS guy comes around 6PM. Otherwise I would of said I had an "appointment" and came into work a bit later.
Oh well, called UPS to do will call pick-up so I'm set for later:

06/19/2009 10:29 A.M. A DELIVERY CHANGE REQUEST FOR THIS PACKAGE WILL BE PROCESSED / SAME DAY WILL CALL

So just a reminder for UPS deliveries if you miss it, you can't just go to the processing station to pick up your package like FEDEX does. You need to call ahead and have them set the package aside for same day will call pickup.
 
Well, that's just great. A FedEx truck just went flying past my house, following a bit of excitement on my part when the truck came in sight. The wait continues... Seriously, they find it necessary to send multiple trucks on the same route? This is why I prefer UPS.

Delivered here in the Bay Area! The UPS driver said it is amazing, everyone is home today for their iPhone. :)

Syncing all my music and applications now.
