Take her somewhere that is significant to you. Some place that can really break the ice so you can get to know eachother. Dont do the standard dinner and a movie. Do something unique she'll never see coming and never forget.

I think you should also keep in mind that as much as you have doubted yourself, she seems to genuinely like you just the way you are. I would go out on a limb and say that you should probably take her where you would like to go.

I have better things to do than read the entire 4 pages of this thread.. but it sounds like you're doing great. If both of you like each other.. you can't really screw it up, as long as you're honest.

If she likes you.. you're two people who like each other and want to see each other again. Don't think of it in terms of you manipulating her or anything... just take it easy. As some have said, take her someplace special to you or that interests you. Expensive does not always equal good -- especially when dating. Don't try to impress her. Remember, she's a marine. She's used to BS and will see through it quickly.
On a side note from the military perspective. Be prepared to have last minute date cancelations. This can occur 24/7. As a junior marine, she may get duty, or an unexpected detail at the last minute. If this happens, be very understanding and don't bitch. That is one quick way to loose her -- especially if she is thinking of making a career out of the marines.
