At least it’s something for the masses to purchase. The Apple one will be worn by celebrities thinking they’re special by posting photos of them wearing it on Twitter.
You can wear glasses underneath the headset, but I have snap-on prescription lenses that you can attach to the Quest 2 lenses. Apple will have these as well. How do those headsets play with people who wear glasses ? Myopia etc
This reeks of rushing the announcement. Also that they put this out today but who knows if they will try to cram in new features by September based on what Apple announces. The company plans to share more details about the Quest 3 during its Meta Connect event on September 27.
Uhhh interesting, some sort of rigid lenses that u attach to the device instead of putting them in your eyes ?You can wear glasses underneath the headset, but I have snap-on prescription lenses that you can attach to the Quest 2 lenses. Apple will have these as well.
Idk about that. If you can save money or make $100 a month payments for Apples VR. Or maybe we call it Apple BVR, for Better Virtual Reality. Why would you not save up for a far superior experience? I’m talking potential multiple times better experience than what Meta is going to sell? It has to be for that price Apple is rumored to sell it for. I think it’s the difference of wearing non polarized sun glasses (Meta) vs being smart and buying polarized …At least it’s something for the masses to purchase. That would be something crazy.. and good luck getting to purchase one for years cause rumors say they might struggle to ship 250,000 units. If it only cost $1000 these would fly off the shelf. And definitely Apple stock would explode!Apple has a Trojan horse, I think this headset is gonna be significantly cheaper than 3000 dollars.
It's not. Never have a comfort issue with my Quest 2That just looks so uncomfortable to put on your head for an extended period of time.
Apple tax. Nothing they make is worth the cost you buy it for. You’re not going to get a $3000 experience from this not even $1000Idk about that. $300 vs $3000 !
The Apple headset should better be something outstanding, out of this world... otherwise it will be as popular as a Newt
Oh man! I was making plans for Tuesday instead... Thank you for clarifying that..Monday!
So can we conclude that Meta is a Zucker brand?Price point is deceptively competitive.
So I assume it's partly subsidized through extensive data collection sold to Meta's partners?
Can't fool us by rebranding yourself as Meta -You'll always be Facebook as long as Zuckerberg is CEO.
Agree. I think they're gonna sell it at a loss for now and get those software sales while building a user base.Apple has a Trojan horse, I think this headset is gonna be significantly cheaper than 3000 dollars.
aka "standalone" - no PC/Mac or basestations required“Meta also said the Quest 3 has an all-in-one design”
I’m confused. In the picture & video, it sure looks like it has three parts. There must be some new definition of “all-in-one“ that I don’t understand.
I was just thinking about this recently. Will Apple really ban apps like Virtual Desktop?I want one! I love my Quest 2, mostly as a means of connecting to SteamVR. That's my main gripe with a potential Apple headset. I doubt it would ever link up to my PC.
