It's too bad they're not sticking with the failing hardware projects. I very much want them to go out of business.

On the upside, maybe they will double down on their failing VR projects now and this will accelerate their demise. One can only hope!

Ah…so sad…one less thing for Facebook to sell to advertisers and the data harvesting industry.

Excuse me what? A failure after the other? Bad at scaling? We're talking about one of the biggest companies not only in the US, but in the entire world. Facebook is in the 1%.
It lost two-thirds of its market cap in 18 months. The Zuckwit lost literally a hundred billion dollars of personal wealth in the process.

I have no idea why people would want a device that tracks them where ever they go and sends it to Zuckerberg. I know the Apple Watch sends data to Apple, but they are way more trustworthy than Meta.
The most valuable data available they choose not to have access to it by either processing on device or encrypting it end to end while the user maintains the only keys.

Not a lot of Zuckboyz on this forum.

He creeps me out as well. Meta is/was a behemoth, but they seem to be out of sync. I do not understand his vision for the digital future, but he seems to be all in on whatever it is.

I do not see any way for Facebook to survive. A name change and AR glasses are not going to help it. Honestly, I am surprised Facebook is still around.

They've made 10+ billions in profit every year since 2016 which is why they're still around. But if with reduced ad revenue and losses from the Metaverse, that trend might not last.

I can't wait for the finale of the fall. I hope Zuck burns through all his wealth at the end trying to save the mEtAvErSe. I hope this is how social media ends. Zuck and Musk taking it down.

I must admit I am enjoying Meta's apparent demise. The main reason being -- to reuse the words of the late Christopher Hitchens -- that they're evil and a direct threat to human civilization, and I'd love nothing more than to see them destroyed.
