Never understood why vision is isn’t more like MacOS than iPadOS. For a “spatial computer” they have hampered it out the gate. Meta is making a great business move here I think.
You could say the same about iPadOS itself too though.

This is strange because the Quest hardware is very decent for the price.... it's the software that sucks.

It’s fun to watch history repeat itself.

Just like social media this platform isn’t for users, it will be an advertising platform with some user facing content.

Apple made the right call by declaring eye tracking data off-limits.

My main games are COD, DCS, and MSFS. If you game these are well known.

I ended up buying a Quest 3 mainly for VR flying through the PC ....

To say the Oculus/Quest3 system is just a gaming console is so far off base. It is a MUCH more functional system than it is given credit for.
Since your use of Quest 3 is for PCVR, your use of Quest 3 is just a VR terminal. Similar to IBM 3270's role in the company's line of mainframes. Or Chromebooks' role in web apps. It's just a display (albeit a fancy one with head and hand tracking).

I wrote my "Main" use is for PCVR.

Doesn't mean I don't use it for native Quest apps.

It's the reason I didn't buy a standalone VR headset.
