Just a quick heads-up: English isn't my first language, so I used AI to help translate my thoughts. Hey everyone, looking for some advice here.

My current premium bands are the Titanium Milanese and the Stainless Steel Link Bracelet. However, they are basically gathering dust right now. I'm honestly even considering selling the Titanium Milanese. My wrist is 16cm, and I'm caught in a weird middle ground between the S and M sizes—which means the clasp always ends up sitting awkwardly on the side of my wrist instead of the bottom, making it pretty annoying to wear. I recently picked up a used third-party Scub'H style band for about $17 on the second-hand market just to try it out, and I absolutely love it. It's become my daily driver.

Here’s my main struggle: I have a metal allergy. The metal pin on the standard Apple Sport Band (and the Nike version) gives me a horrible rash whenever I sweat or it gets wet. I’ve also ruled out the Ocean Band because I find it too bulky and not breathable enough.

By the way, I’m totally obsessed with the Scub'H Diving aesthetic. It looks incredibly good, way better than any standard silicone band, but dropping $500+ on the official one is a hard no for me.

Since I wash my band immediately after every workout, I really need a second band for a 50/50 daily rotation while the first one dries. I found what seems to be a much higher-end, "premium" aftermarket alternative online for around $50. It looks like the best option I've seen so far.

I really want to buy it, but I’m hesitating. $50 isn't exactly pocket change just to complete a 50/50 daily rotation with a $17 used one I already like. Plus, a friend of mine told me it’s absolutely not worth dropping $50 on an unbranded band, which made me second-guess myself.

So, I wanted to ask you guys: Is my friend right? Or are these $50 higher-end third-party bands actually worth the price for a solid 50/50 rotation? Also, should I just go ahead and sell the Titanium Milanese given the annoying fit? Any input would be hugely appreciated!

I have a metal allergy as well (nickel) and it has gotten worse with age. Where I used to be able to use apple’s silicone bands without too much issue, now even the tiny metal circle is too much and I react very poorly to it. I also have annoyingly slim wrists so I know your pain there 🙂

I’ve had to go with some very generic off-brand bands (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CW66HQFV). They are VERY cheap but the black one looks pretty good and they are infinitely adjustable. The design of them also keeps the metal away from my wrist enough that I haven’t had issues yet. Not what you were looking for but maybe something to consider.

The sport loop might be what you’re looking for. The connector is covered in plastic
I’ve definitely considered the nylon loops since they don't have metal, but because I sweat a lot during workouts, I'm really worried they'll just absorb all the sweat and get smelly over time. That's why I prefer rubber/fluoroelastomer—they are just so much easier to wash and dry off quickly!

Omg, thank you so much! It feels so good to know I'm not the only one struggling with the terrible 'tiny wrist + metal allergy' combo 🥲. I really appreciate the Amazon link. Even if it's not the exact style I was originally looking for, having an infinitely adjustable option where the metal doesn't touch the skin is huge. I'll definitely keep it saved as a solid backup option!
