I to got it tonight around 6:30ish...
I don't mind ads (it keeps MR running) just the part that you need to keep scrolling to get rid of it!

Anybody else getting a scrolling ad on macrumors

Every page I click on I get a metropc ad
I can only get rid of it by scrolling up or down

This is on the iPhone safari

I've found that swiping it back down off the bottom of the screen is much easier than scrolling it all the way up but it's still ridiculous.

Yes, very annoying. Been having ads like that come up on the Mac rumors site for a while.

Sometimes I scroll and suddenly find myself in the App Store with a program wanting to be downloaded. Today I scrolled and ended up in the itunes app trying to buy an album. I don't know how I got there. It's very annoying.

Funny many Apple fans claim iphones are impervious to these kinds of redirections, yet Mac rumors throws me to other stores, sites, and annoying scroll ads all the time.

Just stated seeing it today for some reason for the first time ever (in years basically). And yeah, a quick swipe down seems to get rid of it rather quickly.

Probably the most annoying thing suddenly is that it's now showing up almost in every page of the forums. Go to a thread and start scrolling and it's there, go back to the list of threads and it's there, go to another thread and it's there, etc., etc., etc.

This is why people use adblock. If you don't want people to block ads on your site, you've got to be willing to be proactive about making sure especially obnoxious and site-breaking ads aren't being displayed. If the network you're using provides ads of this type, get a different network.

Nothing to do with iPhone and everything to do with macrumors.

Keep getting this for every page load since yesterday and it's making it almost unbearable to read the forum! Every time I try to scroll down a new page it keeps popping up!
