Well it does all of that what you just mentioned. You want me to go through every single command it understands or something?![]()
Uh YEAH, since YOU were the one calling me out.

Apple is stuck in 2007. Stones in glass houses.
Very exotic-sounding name. When I hear 'Cortana', I envision an Amazonian woman wearing leopard skin around her hips with large juicy breasts.
CORRRR-TANA!!
Exactly, however Apple currently has the fastest phone on the market and their fingerprint sensor works above all others. That's 2007 for ya.![]()
Since the current implementation allows apps to hook into the voice recognition engine, it's actually impossible to list all of the commands it can handle.
I love ironic humour. Oh dear. It wasn't humour was it?
You really think fingerprint seniors are futuristic and ...

That's how it goes these days. Look at the Amazon STB. No focus at all on Roku, just Apple TV that's doomed.100% agree and to add to it, had this been Apple who just came out with a personal assistant after MS and Google had one then many in this forum alone would be bashing Apple saying, "Come on Apple, You can't Seem to Innovate, you're late to the game".
Funny how when Microsoft brings out Cortana (that had multiple mess ups this morning) this forum seems to shake the pom poms for MS as if they revolutionized the personal assistant, like it's the first time it's been done.
Ok well I'm not excusing demos that don't work, but I'd rather see an oops and have the presenter remind people it's beta than have a flawless demo that doesn't work out that way in real life. Apple maps is another example. Great demo by Forstall but a product that sucked for a lot of people in real life. That's ridiculous and you just proved my point I made a moment ago.

I wasn't calling you out. I was just letting you know Microsoft have had a voice assist solution before Cortana.

So Cortana can be told not to check our emails and all. But Microsoft as a whole has full rights to check our email.
I just wish they'd get rid of Siri all together. I was probably one of the first people to turn it off on the iphone 4S.
If only it wasn't too late. This could have stopped Android 5 years ago. What a pity.Microsoft also announced that it is making Windows licenses free for mobile phones and small tablets ...
Look, you were the one who was denying originality on Microsoft's part. I was simply pointing out this is not their first voice recognition assistant. And your point was for doing so?
Forget Cortana, this is the real news:
