I've stopped using Siri it's so bad. Hard to understand why they still can't get it right. Hope it gets major upgrade with iOS 8.

Really? Siri works for me nearly every time. Even in more noisy situations.

Butchered backstory

Like Siri, Cortana has a personality. She has witty responses for certain questions, such as "Who is your father?" to which she replies, "Technically speaking, that'd be Bill Gates. No big deal."

Uh.. no. She has no father. Her mother-cum-twin-sister can be argued to be Dr. Catherine Halsey. Get your facts right, Mr Ash :p

I know this is a very minor thing to point out, but I think Cortana, just to say is 1 syllable too long, and as insignificant as this sounds, I think that matters with a name that is meant to be "catchy"

It seems to me that Microsoft would be the perfect company to name their personal digital assistant "Hal".

Which phone is superior? Why, the one that helps you save puppies, of course!

Don't like windows phone UI. Too much black/white and too much bold and different font sizes.

Here's what I got from Siri when I asked her to "show me places to adopt a dog".

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Microsoft has had it's time of dominance and monopolizing the world.
Henry Kissinger's quip on the Iran-Iraq war: „It's too bad they both can't lose.“
I kinda feel the same about Microsoft and Google. Both can't be trusted.

No argument here. I know Google is not much better, especially when it comes to trust, I just want to see more choices for us as the consumer and not one company taking over. It never works out for the consumer that way.

There you go using your brain again instead of just whining about stuff on Facetwit.

Gates statement "I would give a lot to have Jobs taste" is very true here... what kind of name is Cortana..

Well, Cortana will be much better - unlike Siri, it is supposed to support Polish language. One more reason to switch to Windows.

Supporting a specific language vs. doing it well are two different things. You should wait before giving MS so much credit rather than discrediting Apple. People have different sounding voices. Some speak fast, some speak slowly, some slur the speech. I'm sure Cortana will get much of it's share of complaints.

Well, I'm sure there's a lot of people here who are not going to switch just because of Polish language support. There has to be more than that. And don't be surprised if SIRI starts supporting it very soon.

No, you're not the only one, used Siri twice, just to check it out just like iPhone 5s finger print feature, didn't like it, disabled it and never had a need to enable it again ;)

I was initially the same with Siri. Now I use him (dislike the female voice) almost daily so long as I have a decent net connection. Use the fingerprint feature to unlock my phone all the time. Faster than typing in (unless my thumb is damp).
