Most comments say it is a nice design but they do forget it is running Windows. Nuff said...
I haven't and I already said a couple of times, Microsoft is doing things with windows that Apple isn't, They're swinging for the fences on all fronts and it shows in both hardware and software

Problem is.. You are assuming that this will be as good as a Wacom Cintiq. Only time will tell, but my bet is that it won't be as good so it won't really compete with Wacom Cintiq at all.

Is it one thing we have learned from the Surface / Surface Pro and especially the Surface Book, it has to be the fact that Microsoft is having trouble with getting the hardware to perform at it's best.

Surface Pro and Surface Book already outperform most hardware on the market right now. That includes iPad Pro and Macbook

THE NEW PIRATES, combination of hardware innovation, tools, services, Windows is getting better and great keynotes (yes! great keynotes). I doesn't´t compare to Apple, MS is pushing, adding and creating, Apple is stalling and removing.

You can see the effort, focus and speed they are creating thinks, killing products that are distractions or just failed for now. More people is starting to acknowledge and love that, apps will come to MS and Apple will have to do something about that, that will push them out of their confort zone and if still capable we will see great innovation from both companies. One pushes the another.

They may have out-Appled Apple with this. Pricing aside, there's quite a bit to be excited about.

I'm beginning to think tomorrow is going to be a significant let-down.

Yeah Honestly ... I feel like Apple under Tim Cook is more about satisfying Wall Street sell expectations, then Thinking outside the box. It seems like Apple is too much into doing minor design bumps instead of bold leaps forward ... All this because they want to maximize profits to keep wall street happy and stock price up ... Priorities seem out of place

That Surface Studio looks great. I like the form factor. I have an imac and i think the ports on the back of the screen is kind of a tired design these days.

Microsoft should send Tim Cook a bottle of wine as thanks for killing the Mac.

F U Cook! Just retire already!! You're killing Apple!
I wish Tim just tells us where they are heading...especially to Pro users...like Mac Pro.

I wonder about how many of the "but it runs Window" folks have been on Windows in the past several years.

While I love MacOS, I am an avid gamer and use both Boot Camp and a dedicated PC regularly. I certainly don't hate Windows 10, it is a very competent system. Some things are a little schizophrenic where it feels like older Windows and new Windows are kludged together, but overall the experience using Windows is pretty pleasant.

I have two riMacs and I was more than a little intrigued with the surface studio. Too bad MacOS isn't touch aware. I might consider trying to Hackintosh this thing if it was.

Thanks for using "kludge". I thought folks at my company were the only ones. We're not alone!

... And I would love to have a Surface Studio instead of my 5k iMac, yeah.. I´m confused too :D

As long as it runs windows...it's a deal breaker for me. Maybe it'll take a second look when Windows reach version 15 or something. As of now, it still feels like a beta os for me

In the other hand, I'm surprised nobody complained about the price? Isn't it one of the main things that people complain about Apple products?

It is cheaper than a equv Mac Pro + a 27" Wacom Cintiq... much cheaper.

I hope so, but I'm expect that in 2017 or 2018 unfortunately. Maybe I'll be surprised tomorrow, but I'm not betting on it.
Yeah, given that word on the street that the iMac won't be part of this presentation. If all we get is a thinner MBP with an OLED bar, that will be very disappointing in contrast to what MS showed off today.

Man that dial on the surface pro is some sci-fi level stuff. Looks great, and pretty innovative. I am so ingrained in the Mac environment I could never realistically switch, but if i were starting fresh I'd have to give these a serious look. Would hate to have to work in Windows, but the last few MacOS updates have been so half-baked at release, for the first time in 20 years I've considered abandoning Macs.

Surface Studio seems neat in the video, but ..

it runs Windows
it starts at $3,000
fingerprints are going to be horrible
and the puck thing seems gimicky
it runs Windows

All of that said, it’s an exciting product. I’m glad to see it coming to the market. Competition is good for everyone.

By the way, I have 35 years in the DOS+Windows ecosystem, about 20 in UN*X, and less than 5 in Mac.

Who does that remind me of? Under Steve Ballmer Microsoft started becoming obscenely profitable and investors looking for dividends loved it- until innovation dried up and SJ ran circles around him.
