I never understood opera and why people use it. The 2-3 people Ive met in my life that use Opera swear by it almost in a cult like fashion but couldnt articulate to me why exactly do they like it.Not by usage. By actual usage it's not even close. It doesn't matter how many computers come with a specific browser installed. From StatCounter - global stats:
Worldwide browser usage — 2026
The latest complete monthly data from June 2026:
Browser Actual web usage share Chrome 69.65% Safari 15.31% Edge 5.21% Firefox 3.33% Samsung Internet 1.95% Opera 1.74% Other ~2.8%
I've been using Opera for years now. I like it because it's not Chrome, and I'm not a fan of Edge or FF. It has always worked well for me. I did use Safari when I owned Apple products. I'm hoping to own Apple products again one day, maybe after the CEO change if it all goes well.I never understood opera and why people use it. They have actually reversed this somewhat. Lots of junk has been removed.
I do have a Microsoft account from long ago when I ran Windows. If it comes to a point where signing into my Apple Account connects me to my Microsoft Account, I will delete my Microsoft Account. No need for a Microsoft account? I’m sure that signing in with your Apple ID will either connect it to an existing Microsoft account or create a new one. Where else would your synced stuff be stored?
account?I do just for YouTube contents viewing.Who uses this browser? Especially on Mac?
People are using Edge? Which doesn’t support uBlock Origin? Why???
microsoft edge is the advanced browser for sharepoint based sites (cms). that may be a reason.Who uses this browser? Especially on Mac?
Let’s be clear here - you’re still creating a Microsoft account and still handing over your information. It’s just the login authentication of that account is being handled by Apple.avoiding the need to create a Microsoft account.
I think that the reason behind why Chrome is in the lead is because of all of those school districts and businesses using Chrome. I mean, where wouldn't you find a ChromeOS in a business or school?
