OneDrive is maybe my least favorite 0365 program, and that is saying something given how horrible Outlook is.

It is SO slow to sync files, and it is also terribly slow to upload.

Anyone wanting a Dropbox/Box like experience from OneDrive or iCloud will be severely disappointed. These are afterthought programs to they can check the box, but they are 25% of the product Dropbox/Box are. Not surprising really.

Yes. My issue is that last time I tried it iCloud was terrible on PC.

It still is - absolutely terrible on PC

And with ASi and no more Bootcamp (barring a change in the outlook we have right now)...I expect it to get even worse and Apple to eventually perhaps drop Bootcamp/Windows iCloud support (or at least drop any additional work on making it any better on their end).

One drive is better then crap apple icloud, pure trash. Apple its self is pure trash. They not good at cloud anything.

I am glad Microsoft is making these changes. But would be funny when people cant download the 250GB file because the got 128GB SSDS, haha.

The base iCloud storage has been 5 Gb since 2011(More than 9 years). The base storage of the iPhone released in 2011(iPhone 4s) was 8 Gb. Now the base storage of the new iPhone 12 is 64 Gb. Even a backup for a single Apple device now takes more than 5 Gb.
Most People do not need 50 Gb of cloud storage all they need is enough storage to backup their devices. They do not prefer to pay $12 just to backup their devices to the cloud. 15 Gb will be enough for this purpose and if they need more storage then they can pay just like you said.

Well...I guess it sucks to be those "most people" wanting extra free stuff when $0.99 per month is more than a reasonable amount to pay.

If you need extra storage, pay for it. Or find another vendor that's on board with giving you free stuff. Maybe Samsung or Sanyo would accommodate?

Apple is not bad. Dropbox only offers 2GB free from back when till now. 5GB is the norm (Apple iCloud, non-legacy Microsoft 365, etc). Google can offer 15GB because, well, you know.
Box.com allows 10GB free, gotta shop around for freebies :D

1 Gb is 125 MB.
