Looks like it is. I'm downloading it now, though I'm running Yosemite.
Mine took about 15 minutes, slow but no where near what you're seeing.
That's interesting. I'm using Word and Excel--with Excel just sitting in the background. Excel is pulling 85%, while Word is barely registering...
Strange - opposite of me
Am I allowed? Don't wanna get banned.
One of the joys of modern Mac apps is that I can shutdown my Mac without worrying that my wife will lose data. Modern Mac apps continuously save, and after a restart they come back up exactly where you left off without user intervention. Except that my wife uses Office 2008, so that doesn't work at all and I have to guess which changes she wants saved in order to shut down.
Do the Office apps behave like modern Mac apps in this regard? Or do you still get asked to manually save? That feature alone is worth a subscription to me.
Whoever dreamed up the ribbon UI should burn in hell. Hate it!![]()
Great to see the update finally arrive. . . . But still waiting for Microsoft Access?!!

Agreed. At work we have to use Office and I utterly despise the Ribbon. Worst UI ever made by anyone on any app on any platform.
The download URL isn't working... First it starts downloading, but then drops to 0 b/sec. Any mirror or could someone throw it to mega etc.
Yes it is, but not completely unexpected.Thanks. That's a huge disappointment![]()
Hopefully Microsoft prices it fairly high so that they make a healthy profit so they can maintain sustainability and keep improving their products. I'd like to see them make as much money as possible.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.![]()
They are still 32 bit apps! Really, Microsoft?! In 2015 still putting out 32 bit apps for the Mac when 95% of Yosemite apps are 64 bit?
Snap! Can't open Outlook. Crashes immediately. Oh well. Hence the preview tag.
Yup, their servers are really screwed up right now.PLEASE SOMEONE UPLOAD TO MEGA.
