OK, those are all kind of toy-like. Don't you think so? Sure, GPS is great, but only if you're not in a vehicle with one and when you actually need to know where you are.
Yup. And you know why? Because global network services haven't kept pace with processor speeds and human imaginations.
We all dream of wireless iPods and using Google on the go - but wifi isn't up to the task, internet-by-cellphone is just too expensive (at least here in the US), and so we scuttle along with our laptops and desktop machines, waiting for extra-long-range really-high-speed wireless internet access to set all our devices free.
In the meantime, companies will keep trying to get a hit with gadgets like these, but the lack of useful network access on the go makes them little more than toys.
