My Commodore was 64bit back in 1986 and my Nintendo was 64 in 1997 why is Apple late to the party again?

And the PS2 was 128-bit back in 2000. That means it's...like...a billion times faster than than crap Intel has been putting out.

I gotta admit, I do think it's funny how all the people who claimed no one would care about a nice camera on a smartphone back during the Nokia 1020 discussion are now going on and on about how incredible and innovative the iPhone camera is.

Please compile a short list of what innovations you would like to see.

I'd say that virtually every manufacturer out there is still playing catch-up with Apple. Screen size isn't an innovation. Nor is removable memory (those are modifications to the basic setup). Look beyond the hardware, too. The App Store is still light years beyond anything else. Android is a fractured mess.

Also consider the usefulness of such features. My iPhone was dropped into a lake last year; yet within 15 minutes of buying a new one I had all of my contacts, apps, photos, etc back - thanks to iCloud and wireless automatic backups to my computer. My sister, who never updated her Android OS on her Samsung, lost everything from the last two years when her phone was stolen. Sure, she could have backed up everything...but most people never do, and almost nobody else does it with regularity. My iPhone takes care of that for me after I touched a button one time - silently, in the background, and unfailingly covering my butt.

Depending on which Android OS, which version of which phone, and whether you have the memory card with the right application on it, you may be able to kinda do the same thing. Almost. If you remember.

LTE-A, make A7 more power efficient rather than more powerful, develop better battery tech, increase default sizes to 32/64/128 etc.

These videos (which I managed to watch before they got pulled) are just as tasteless and "low rent" as the slobbish appearance and clueless demeanor of the CEO who's company they sprang from.

Microsoft owes an apology to Steve Jobs' family.

Otherwise, congrats to Microsoft for finally scoring a "10" on something. Namely, the "how to be totally disrespectful morons" scale!

...he also closely resembles how Steve Jobs began to look as his health declined.

From the back of the head? Come on.

I don't disagree that these videos are horribly done. I just don't buy that showing someone from of the back of the head "closely" looks like anyone in particular. Unless it's Mr. T.

The 32/64/128 argument is actually very valid. Especially considering how much they are promoting the phone for photo, video and console-level games. I think by the time the 6 rolls around, they definitely need to up the RAM.

RAM and storage are different. The iPhone 5 has 1 GB of RAM and the 5s is rumored to have 2GB of RAM.

So what is better about the hardware of the competition? What does it do better, faster, easier?

Bigger screens, swappable batteries, NFC, SD card slots, and plenty more that I can't think of since I've never owned a better phone but I've seen in friends phones.

I thought it was representing Jobs and Ives. A lot of other people do as well.

Tasteless MS. They need a punch in the face.

LTE-A: What's the point until it's more widely available?

A7 more power efficient: They did by adding the M7 chip.

Better battery tech: How? Without this being just a pipe dream? Who doesn't want better battery tech in their phone? What competitor achieves this to your satisfaction?

32/64/128: Agree.

The very thin neck, the hair cut and color, the black shirt (sure it's not the turtle neck, but w/e) and in particular the context makes it pretty uncanny. He looks more like Steve than Tim, no discussion really.

Keep pushing Microsoft and I'll never buy another one of your products...

ever...

I had considered an Xbone but after all of the controversy... nah...

I had considered a Surface but after a poorly designed and executed roll out... nah...

I had considered a Nokia Phone but after you bought them... on second thought... nah...

Keep it up losers...

Xbone hahahaha. Damn auto correct..

This coming from the company where Steve Ballmer laughed at the original iPhone and said it would be no good for business customers because it lacks a physical keyboard, and then went on to release dozens of phones (or at least provide software for dozens of phones) that also lacked them.

I'm not surprised. Saddened, but not surprised.

Who said that nobody would care about a nice camera? The Nokia 1020 may be the "best" camera, but it's far from the first "nice" camera on a smartphone. What people were implying is that the Nokia 1020 is more of "a camera with a smartphone attached to it" than any other phone on the market. Some people need that kind of quality, but most people don't. The camera has been a selling point on the iPhone from the 3GS onward, but it has never been and likely never will be the selling point.

I could list 100 things wrong with this ad. But I just cannot believe that someone at microsoft actually approved the portrayal of Steve Jobs. Totally tasteless!!

..And horribly done to boot.
