Such a bad idea I thought it must be like a hack, i.e. not really put up by Microsoft. I still wonder. Anyway people seem messed up there now, maybe it's chaotic as they address trying to get the Nokia merger implemented. "Who's on first" may be up for grabs in more than a few departments. If they really put those ads up, then Marketing sure needs a tweak. Or whoever runs Risk Management !!

Yep, it's me, Balmer.

Are you honestly kidding me right now? You do realize that Apple has done this in the past, right? Not that I hate Apple, but really, you kinda have to expect this.

Making fun of Apple for a plastic phone?
Just answer one question... What are all windows phone made from? Thats what I thought... Now shut up

I thought the promise would be:

Try our new range of Microsoft Vacuum Cleaners. Like our operating systems, they suck!

Ya but you have to buy the Pro Vacuum cause the normal one does not pick up all the dirt...lol

With such recent famous fails like Zune, and Surface, and the 'mock' funeral on MS campus, with this new ad MS are definitely shameless gluttons for humiliation. It's like some kind of subconscious self inflicted punishment for foisting Windows and the consequent viruses, malware and ugliness upon humanity. The ad was probably pushed through the MS review process by an Apple mole in the machine. Who knows, maybe Balmer has really been working for Apple this whole time.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and S3 still haven't outsold the iPhone 5. So if you base things off of sales, 4 inch screens have a larger appeal than larger screens. 5 or 6 folks on the forum whining about larger screens doesn't seem to affect Apple's bottom line.

In Q2, Apple sold 27 million iPhones, 4,4S and 5 together, while Samsung sold 23 million S4 units. I guarantee that the iPhone 4 and 4S sales were more than 4 million units, so I guess you are very wrong saying that the iPhone 5 outsold the S4. And if you think about the fact that Samsung has a more variety of flagships, including the Note and the fact that in the same timeframe they sold over 70 million units, I think your argument is rendered invalid. Larger screen is what people want. Maybe not you, but I guess the only reason you don't want one is because Apple doesn't have a large model.

I thought it was right on the mark...
Too much hype and slow **** talking from Jony Ive , it's as if Jony is trying to hypnotise you into believing his exaggerations when he speaks.

Oh it's a work of art...it's gorgeous... Really ?

Seriously? Are you making this up as you go?

You do realize the S4 is not the ONLY phone over 4" right? Just because someone does not choose to go with a S4 does not mean they look elsewhere for a bigger screen.

5 or 6 folks on the forum whining? You do realize people wanting a bigger screen are not a small minority right?

While my man Jony does exaggerate, it has nothing to do with the distaste of these commercials that were obviously not well thought out.

Apple will launch a phone with a larger screen. Relax.

Here's proof that Apple fans tend to be arrogant.

Just for the record, if you look at the Nokia Lumia 1020 (A Windows Phone for the record) has a camera that far surpasses any iPhone with 41 Megapixels. It's processor is also faster than that of the iPhone 5, being 1.5GHz instead of the 5's 1.2GHz. Not to mention the Lumia supporting Wireless Charging and having an ultra sensitive touchscreen so you can use it through gloves.

When I look for a phone, I look for functionality and the best camera. You clearly only care about appearance. Use your final short sentence for yourself.

Recent poll, though not scientific, only 24% of 200+ people polled wanted a 4" Screen.

The poll is also asked in a very misleading way. Where is the 3.5" option? Considering that a large number of people in the general population have iPhone 4S and under, there is a very good chance that when they saw the poll they assumed that their device had a 4" screen and thought it was small. Instead, they had a 3.5" screen and simply desired a 4", however due to their confusion choose an even larger screen size.

We can't assume everyone was like this, nor can we assume no one was. So while there may be people who want a larger iPhone, and other who don't, we all should at least agree that this poll does not shed light on what percentages hold each opinion.

I think you need to Go read your History. Apple has never had to "Prop Up" Sales of the iPhone...LMAO.

No, I think you're the one who needs to do a little brushing up. The iPhone wasn't an immediate success for Apple. It wasn't until the advent of the App Store and the subsidized pricing of the 3G that it started flying off shelves.

Ballmer was somewhat correct in his original assessment. And the iPhone's popularity in the enterprise sector? Hell, that even took Apple by surprise.

This is the most irrational argument I've heard in a very, very, very long time.

Nice try though.

Reality distortion - courtesy of Apple.

This is another clear example of a (stereotypical) Apple fan.

Viruses are due to high market share. Virus makers profit more and have a larger effect by targeting the larger system, which was Windows. It's quite obvious that you don't know what an antivirus software is. Though the appearance of Microsoft Software may not appeal to you, it appeals to others.

The Surface may not be popular - but the Surface Pro is better than the iPad, and let me explain.

Not that I hate Apple or the iPad, I say that their fans are the worst fans out there because they cannot say a single thing good about another company, but they don't stop there. They must berate other users for their choice in hardware, device, operating system, etc, which says more about the source of the hate than the person targeted of the hate. The Surface Pro has a dual core Intel Core i5 processor (1.7GHz), 4GB of RAM, a USB 3.0 port and a desktop operating system and is capable of playing the desktop versions of The Sims 3 for example. Apple released a 128GB iPad in response to the Surface Pro because there is a 128GB option for the Surface Pro.

It's all in the hardware, not the popularity of the device.

So why are you using an iPhone if it's so bad?

Did I say it sucked?
