I had a windows phone at the time (Nokia 1020). It was great and she worked. I mostly got answers to (most of) my queries while Siri would just send people to webpages. Now I have an iPhone and hardly ever use Siri.An AI service that didn’t have native integration with the rest of the OS was always doomed to fail. Microsoft has a strong desktop computing platform, but they have virtually no smartphone presence, which is where a digital assistant makes the most sense (due to how cumbersome many tasks still are to perform on mobile compared to a desktop).
That's really going to upset both people that use it...
This is the same type of person that will complain why are companies spying on him lollll. There's a reason why Siri "sucks".I have all Apple devices but depend on Google Assistant! Apple should integrate it into iOS along with Amazon's Alexa. I always turn off Siri when I get a new Apple mobile device! Never used Cortana!
The worst part of that list is that everything on there is a great concept, just lacking in execution or marketing. This is Microsoft....windows RT, windows 10S, windnows phone, cortana, surface duo...a lot of software/hardware that dont see the light for 3 years ..whats next try Microsoft?
Cortana was vastly more intelligent than Siri, it just lacked native integration on iOS which rendered it pointless.
Still smarter than Siri.
Clippy was more useful than the Cortana Daily Briefing that's baked into their email tools somewhere. It very intelligently analyses my emails to identify the messages it thinks are interesting and displays the first sentence or two. That lets it tell me that 3 days ago I sent an email to someone, or that yesterday I got an email saying "Thanks" (plus a signature block), carefully cutting out all the context that might have made that information useful and ignoring that i've marked it read via IMAP.they're bring back Clippy aren't they?
Not surprised that an AI when issued to the public as a product is an automatic fail when it is its primary goal. Btw Cortana as an AI in Exchange or Outlook is also complete junk!Surprise?
Cortana came out 7 years ago. It might last longer, but it hasn't yet.Not surprised that an AI when issued to the public as a product is an automatic fail when it is its primary goal. Btw Cortana as an AI in Exchange or Outlook is also complete junk!
heck the HomePod lasted longer than Cortana
