Does the world need yet another web browser? Glad safari covers all of my web needs.
The stylus thing is still different too. It really never was hat styluses are bad inherently. The problem was when you needed one to use the device. Now the Apple Pencil is simply an option to use in the few cases where a stylus really makes sense or if you just want it, but I can still buy an iPad today and use it without ever needing the pencil/stylus. My finger is still the primary interface as Steve intended. I don’t think Steve would have had any problem with the pencil (other than that idiotic charging scheme of the first gen)

The assumption should be your life is exposed and of course one can (and I do) take measures. Only in thinking those measures are 100% effective is what's foolish. There is no such thing as "complete privacy" in 2020.This is truly lowest common denominator type thinking. Oh... and you're wrong also. You're really on a roll.
People who actually know how to use a computer can have complete privacy. Stop being a passenger at your computer, and be a driver instead.
"You checked your private gmail email on your phone at work!"
MMmmmMmmmmmm - delicious! The icon looks like a Tide fabric pod.
You were really thorough about this. Would you mind running the same tests on the Brave Browser please?I downloaded Edge and ran a couple of browser benchmarks using my 2018 MacBook Pro 2.2Ghz 6-core. I'm running Mac OS 10.15.2. I also tested the latest version of Firefox. Edge isn't as performant as Safari, but it's close! Firefox lags far behind both.

Safari 137.875 *edit 2nd: 145.128

Firefox 87.818

Next I loaded up imgur.com, all three browsers loaded it quickly, but only Safari scrolled in a buttery smooth, perfectly quick and responsive way using the trackpad. Edge and Firefox both scrolled in a jerky way using the trackpad. Using a mouse scroll wheel, it's hard to tell the 3 browsers apart. Since I often use my trackpad, Safari "feels" way, way better than Firefox or Edge whenever I scroll.
Who in their RIGHT mind would ever install a Micro$oft product on their Apple product? Crashes. Hacking vulnerabilities. You name it. To quote Linus Torvalds many years ago, windows is NOT the answer. Windows is the question. NO is the answer. I would not give it a femtosecond of thought.
It’s a nice browser. On my Windows desktop, I switched from Chrome in the fall without issue. That said, I don’t think I’d leave Safari on Mac or any Apple platform.
Trolling and inane comments aside.. does this allow for 4K on YouTube? Whether thats Apple or Google’s “fault” is not relevant to me in this context. I rarely use Chrome despite its other strengths and weaknesses but I will use it to access videos in 4K on YouTube.
dude, I used to think th
same but in the last 3/4 years every apple software is bugged AF and crashes and security issues are a real thing. Don’t forget that only two years ago you could log in macos without typing a password.
Apple software development team is a disaster and Microsoft on the other hand is getting better and better.
And I’m talking as a Mac user, I don’t have a single non Apple gadget at home but I’m so over it. Nothing works like it should lately, n o t h i n g .
Because Microsoft fumbled the ball on mobile.
If they want to monetize user activity across multiple platforms (Windows, Android, macOS, iOS/iPadOS) like Google, they really need a common web browser. Of those four, macOS is the least important but since they are using Chromium, it's easier for them to develop a macOS application.
If you're brave enough to use it, then you sound interesting enough to be my friend. Unless you use Firefox. I'm not friends with those people. ThrobbingPole Edge users are pre-approved for friendship.
