No 3g or Edge Data

3G and Edge Calls do go through.

Interestingly, 1 email did come through.

I noticed the connection issue at 6AM.

SMS works also.
 
hmmm...I just text my wife who has data access (email, edge). We both have 1st gen iPhones, but she is still rocking 1.1.4 and I have 2.0.2.

FYI: This is in the Carlisle/Harrisburg, PA area...

SMS doesn't use Edge or 3G. It goes over same network as calls. You don't need Edge or 3G to send SMS.
 
No data in NYC either. Maybe they're updating their network (yea right but I could hope right?).
 
EDGE is dead from central NJ (Monmouth County) up though Jersey City.

I spent two hours on the phone with AT&T last night. they had me try a new sim card, re-activate, etc. They opened a "ticket" and said they would call me within 72 hours. This morning I wake to find my data totally dead.

At this point I think I can conclude there is nothing wrong with my phone. This is getting tiresome. Back to Verizon ?
 
On the phone with ATT business cust. support now...
He confirmed there is an outage, but that my phone should not be affected....
Being transferred to Apple / AT&T care now...

I have a meeting, on hold too long.

Glad I checked in here before throwing my iPhone across the room Been having intermittent 3G problems and assumed it was that. Live in Fairfax County near Dulles and work in DC. 5 bars and 3G the whole way but no data.
 
Worcester, MA. No EDGE or 3G since I woke up today at 6am, still nothing and it's 9:30am now
 
Andover, MA, no 3G or EDGE.

Just got off the phone with AT&T now, and talked with a tech support person. He filed a filed "trouble ticket" so the network engineers would know and said it is a noted outage and is specifically with the iPhone.
 
No data service on either EDGE or 3G in Manhattan, New York. I tried both upper west side and midtown but no success.

I have tried resetting my connections and that did not solve the problem. It seems like a widespread data outage.
 
just spent all D8MN morning on the phone with Apple and AT&T and neither is taking responsibility... Apple says AT&T is having data issues.
AT&T says that Apple's safari server has gone down and there is nothing they can do.
This is just getting ridiculous.
I'm on the phone now to see if I can get my early termination fee waived and get out of my contract.
