They look ok in photos but I don't think this combination would look all too good IRL. Just my opinion.

When you're jogging, do you want all your sweat getting in between your Milanese Loop? I imagine not.

Not a good idea if combining aluminum Sport case and stainless steel Milanese Loop due to galvanic corrosion risk, especially once the anodized coating has worn off inside the aluminum connector.

I wonder what the long term risk is (from sweating while wearing the watch on a hot day, etc.).

I just posted that pic lol :D

Great minds think alike.

But seriously, I hate how you can't get the black strap with the normal Watch Sport. I don't really like the other colours. They're all too bright and will show smudges of daily wear and tear too easily compared to black.

Well, you could always get a black band seperately and then mix n match the bands together. Example: white and black (or any other color) :)

Of course. It does feel kind of bad paying an extra $49 for a rubber strap though. Especially when you're getting the same one that came in the box, just a different colour.

It's the one I'm getting after seeing the price of the black stainless steel.

I always thought Milanese loop was leaning more towards a men's band anyways.

do you think that the Sport watch will allow the milanese strap to fit? To me, it seemed in the meeting that he alluded to the fact that the sport will only have the sport strap...

Traditionally Milanese bands are masculine not feminine straps. As they have been out of fashion for a while I guess that could change, but still traditionally masculine.

Yes it will fit. What he meant was that the Sport strap is the stock band it comes with.

Same thing I want confirmed. Do all of the bands perfectly fit the watches from the other collections?

Yes, they will fit. Whether they look good is another story. Like some people have pointed out in this thread, the aluminium on the Watch Sport isn't shiny and steel found on the Milanese Loop is.

I like it from both a looks and price aspect. My main worry is that it wouldn't look right with the sport watch that I plan to get.

Same here. At the demo last year, it looked like the neatest one. But it may not match the cheapo watches very well. I certainly don't plan on spending an extra $200 for a stainless steel watch.

Not so fast

If you go to the Apple Store site and run through the Sport watch, you will see only the sport bands not any of the others. It lists 10 watch + band combos-the 38 and 42mm each and the 5 band colors specific for the 38 and 42. The site shows all of the combos but nothing else. From the presentation today the combo watch bands clearly were for the SS watch. So, until Apple confirms otherwise, I would not count on it. I'm waiting for 3rd party accessories which will surely start flowing in the next few months.

Those are the ones to purchase bundled. You can buy bands separately, but they don't specify any restrictions on which Watch they fit (the only restriction is the size of the band, 38 or 42 mm)

It probably won't look as good in person.

What a pity. The render looks amazing, I think.

Though if I were going to go for it, I'd have to buy the silver aluminium rather than the black I'm currently planning on. I hate all the strap colours that the silver ones come with, so I'd have to buy a black strap as well as the Milanese, which pushes the price up. Still a lot less than an SS with Milanese.
