Mine is scratched on the back, but the scratches are so tiny that I had to stare at it for 5 minutes to make sure they were scratches...
I'm not afraid of scratches (eventually it will happen, and more than once), but now I'll be more careful when I put it down :roll eyes:

I don't have any scratches on the case of the body, but when I received my watch on Friday, I noticed there were some scratches already in the magnet clasp of the band. I contacted Apple and they've arranged a replacement... I'm just hoping I don't have to wait until June to get a replacement band, on the phone they said it should be sent before then, but I'm not sure if that was a guess or not, she certainly didn't give a date! They're collecting the band on Wednesday.

Are you letting them take the band without bringing a replacement ?

I've arranged a band exchange. They bring the new band, I give the same courier the old one to take away.

That way Im not without a band - Its not like you can buy them in the Apple shops.

 That wasn't offered to me?! I didn't want to be without a band, I said that to the lady on the phone but all she said is that it was all she could do!

I don't see this as a issue your watch is gonna get worn looking wearing it everyday.

If thats what it looks like after a few days, Id sure hate to see it in a few months. That is not normal wear typical of a high end watch, but thats what happens when a tech company tries to start making watches. Trial and error.

I am not seeing any scratches on mine yet, but this doesn't really bother me. I expect a shiny SS watch to get some scratches eventually.

Not really as the material isn't really any different. Part of the problem is a good number of Apple Watch wearers are new to the watch so those newbies tend to be more careless. These very same people would induce the same damage to high end watches but at least they won't get charged more than the cost of the link bracelet for a professional polishing service by those high end manufacuturers.

I had mine since Friday... No scratches so far. The Milanese Loop does take a while getting use to when putting it on but still loving the Apple Watch!

I hadn't really paid attention taking the watch off, but I don't see any scratches on mine, when shining a light on it. I'm not going to worry about it. Just gonna polish it when I do start seeing scratches.

call them back !!!

I did this morning, and the advisor put me on to her supervisor, who said that she wasn't able to offer this. The band has to be returned to them so that a replacement can be released in the shipping system apparently. I just hope that it happens sooner rather than later! It could be that if they had not already started a return this might have been possible but I don't know. I did ask for one to be sent to an Apple store and I pick it up there but I was told that wasn't an option!

I ordered a blue sport band just incase it doesn't arrive soon, that's got a 2-4week dispatch date

Anyone else seeing this? Not the end of the world but a bit frustrating considering I'll be talking it off and on daily. I know it can be polished out and I can be more careful in how I put the watch on and take it off. Just wondering if others are seeing this.

Just wanted to say thank you for this post Randy. I really think it is a design flaw in the band itself that allows the band to rub against the casing if you don't tighten it the "right" way.

I'm returning my Milanese loop and exchanging it for a Sport band instead. My step dad is a watch repair guy so he's going to buff the scratches out of my casing.
