P.S I might get my Huawei Mateview delivered today so I'll send some pics of both side by side with the same settings
My second MateView is scheduled to arrive tomorrow or Thursday. Can't wait to set both up side-by-side.

Anything within the lines of 16:10 or 21:9 would be fine. Doubt they would ever do a 3:2 since that's a "Surface" kinda of aspect ratio.

As requested my dear friends!..... However I ended up having bad luck with the panel I got, it brought a really big yellow tint at the native white point so I had to calibrate it with the Spyder.

I gotta it fully calibrated now and it works great.

Using 2x USB-C connection from my Thunderbolt Dock, using Native color on the displays menu.

The screens are amazing after calibration! I will only replace these if Apple eventually releases 5K consumer level display with MINI LED or OLED.

So each of them was around 400€
What if someone does not have a Spyder? That is what worries me, doesn't it come calibrated?

Where in Europe did you get it from For 400€?

400€, that's really cheap :)

I live between Thailand and Serbia (Central Europe, not Siberia Russia). In Thailand it costs around 650€, in Serbia 750€.

Amazon.es

I did software calibration via MacOS and wasn’t bad but afterwards I fixed it with the Spyder

Here's my take on the "two MateViews are better than one" theme. Excuse the less than ideal lighting. To the left is a 2015 iMac 4K which “runs” these and acts as a third display.

Edit/Update: I'll be returning the second MateView and asking for a replacement because it's visibly “crooked” to the left: height from desk to screen is about 5mm/0.2” lower on the left corner than on the right.

I've been using it for a week. It's a really great monitor. I have bought and returned these monitors before: Dell P2421DC, LG 27UL850-W.

The ideal resolution for me is 2304x1536. With the free version of the Al Dente app, I can prevent the monitor from charging the device whenever I want.

The 3:2 aspect ratio is also excellent.

I am also looking to dive into the 2:3 monitor world. Somehow I do not yet trust Huawei. I have always purchased Dell UltraSharp monitors, and have never been let down by them in the last 15 years. My current monitor is 27" 4K Dell P2715Q, and it has been serving me well. I will watch this thread for further development, because a few members have reported a few issues, like color deviation, and crooked stands. But I wish I could see this monitor in person, which I can't as it is not yet available in Bulgaria.

I too have been a huge fan of Dell Ultrasharp. I am hoping my new mini M1 works good with my Dell 27 inch 4k. Fingers crossed. If not, it will be the M1 that goes, not the Dell :)

It's worth noting that Dell, Hauwei etc. don't actually make the lcd panels, they are responsible for what grade of a particular panel they select (e.g. < 4 dead pixels per unit), and the controller board. Because Dell makes all their controller boards in-house their monitors are very reliable. The disadvantage is that the technology lags behind the modern chips e.g. for several years they were still driving 4K displays using 2 cables and tiling, when 1 cable was possible with newer driver chips.

We don't know who makes the Mateview panel, or its controller board, unless someone is willing to open up their monitor.
