Which unfortunately doesn't give any help to someone trying to diagnose the problem. There has to be a specific reason that you are having problems that others are not.
You can use m.youtube.com which has offered superior functionality to the built in app for some time now. You get ads but you have access to the full selection of videos.
Not unless you consider having browser chrome visible in full screen video as superior!
It is irritating for sure especially because it wasn't always that way, but I'd rather have access to more videos tbh.
One potential problem I found with Jasmine:
If my 3g connection is not fast enough (and 3g is a perennial issue in my country) - the video will simply not load, and automatically exit from the full-screen. It won't even try to buffer.
Which means this app is basically useless for me when I am not at home and connected to wifi.

I get the same error message half the time and have to reset the app to watch anything, had the potential to be a good app until this started happening.
I'm on iPad 3 wifi only 64gb - never had a problem with the Youtube app at all.
Didn't say or imply I had any "magic". I said that if you provided more details it might provide enough info for someone here to diagnose the problem. You can't expect to get your car fixed by a mechanic if all you can tell him is "It ain't working" can you?
Here are some specific questions for you:
1. Do you get any sort of error messages when it crashes.
2. Do the crashes happen randomly, or when you are doing specific things within the app.
3. Are there things you can do where it doesn't crash?
4. Is your iPad jailbroken?
5. Have you noticed problems with any other apps, and if so, which ones?
You may have answered some of these already, but it helps to have them all in one place.
The announcement now acknowledges that YouTube can't pass on some content. Much as to any twitter clients. It sucks, but that's how it is. When will google get us the real thing? (And maps)
Does any1 know when the ipad version is coming out of the google youtube app... if mentioned already sorry, didn't feel like reading through 3-4pages.
