Sen. Kennedy dieing, losing super majority, having only had super majority in congress for 6 mo. not 2 years.

Rand Paul, Eric Cantor, John Boehner, Mitch Mc Connell, theres 145 reasons

Psh, we all know that the Office of President has unlimited dictitorial powers, stop playing around with the idea that CONGRESS passes laws in this country.

How naive do you think we are? ;)

Elaborate?

Obama was a community organizer (the definition of building up) while Romney has been building companies and in many cases cashing in on ending American jobs (this is way before 2002).

So again, what has Obama been tearing down the last 25 years?

He was a community agitator. Getting sheeple riled up against "the man" for his own benefit (See U.S. Senator from Illinois et al.)

Romney has had a hand in building some of the most recognizable and successful companies here today. Were some jobs lost? Yes. That's the reality of business. Imagine how many jobs would have been lost if the corporation failed.

It's time to elect a man who loves America, and who will put her back in her rightful place as that shining city on the hill. Romney, without question, will move us closer to that goal than Obama. A silver bullet? No. But he'll stop the bleeding, no doubt about it.

So what stopped him durring those first two years...
Code:
Measured in sheer legislative tonnage, what Obama got done in his first two
years is stunning. Health care reform. The takeover and turnaround of the auto
industry. The biggest economic stimulus in history. Sweeping new regulations of
Wall Street. A tough new set of consumer protections on the credit card
industry. A vast expansion of national service. Net neutrality. The greatest
increase in wilderness protection in fifteen years. A revolutionary reform to
student aid. Signing the New START treaty with Russia. The ending of "don't
ask, don't tell."

Seriously, Google it. There are plenty of articles to let you know what you didn't realize your President has been doing this entire time.

It's like having your kids build a sand castle and have Obama stomp on it saying "you didn't build that"
Only if you swallow talking points whole without checking them out.

Here’s the full context of what he said:

We’ve already made a trillion dollars’ worth of cuts. We can make some more cuts in programs that don’t work, and make government work more efficiently…We can make another trillion or trillion-two, and what we then do is ask for the wealthy to pay a little bit more …

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me, because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t -look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive.
Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.
Kind of hard to argue with that.

When you show me the guy who educated himself from grade K through college, who not only built his own business but built the roads and utilities leading to and from it, and manufactured all the goods or services without using any employees, all using his own (not borrowed) money, then I'll believe that he and he alone built that.

Mormons are different. Like I said, they have a living "prophet" who could call Mitt Romney up tomorrow and tell him God told him to banish the gays, start a war with Iran, or aide Israel in exterminating the uncultured Palestinians. We honestly do NOT know what Mitt would do if that happened. He has NEVER been willing to discuss his faith, or whether he would be bound by the word of God.

Not really a logical point to make. If the Mormon prophet really wanted to subvert American politics, he probably would have done so already with some key players who are already Mormon. But so far, I don't see many people claiming that the Senate Majority Leader is taking orders from Salt Lake.

It's like having your kids build a sand castle and have Obama stomp on it saying "you didn't build that"

Not to mention that government has no business getting involved in marriage or abortion. Government keeps getting bigger and bigger under Obama and another term won't change that.

I'm not going to answer out-of-context quotes. Nor will I answer your own biased unsubstantiated opinion which you postulate as fact.

Every time I see Mitt Romney I think of "All About Mormons" South Park episode..."Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb!"...

What a kook!

Not to sure, I would use a cartoon to judge somebody by. And then have the nerve to call them a kook.

Just a question...where do you think the dollars to build and maintain those roads, utilities, bridges, and other infrastructure come from? Unicorn tears and pixie dust?

Obama hasn't a clue how an economy works. Not surprising, given that he's never had a real job in his life!

Oh this should be interesting

America or Obama. You can't have both. It's that simple.

Disaster doesn't even accurately describe what has transpired during the tenure of Barack Hussein Obama. Your decision to sit this one out, or vote for any one other than Mitt Romney, is a vote to end the Republic as we know it. You can call it hyperbole but sadly that is the truth.

Romney may not be the great visionary leader extraordinaire, no doubt about it. He's far from perfect. But given the choice between a man who has spent the last 25 years tearing down (Obama) versus one who has spent 25+ years building up ... I require no time to make my decision.

OMG. These scare tactics only work on the uninformed or the ( I can't belive our president is black club).

The republic will survive. jeeesh...Relax.

Very odd convergence of its use right around 2008...

Side note: Anyone crying about how the economy is "still!" in bad shape....we knew since the beginning of this recession it would take at least a decade for a real comeback. Let's not even factor in how bad austerity is in a time of no growth. Its downright reckless.

Don't try to use facts against their opinion, it's like talking to a wall.

I know this is not the place for politix but it has started. I'm 57 and love the the president's policies . We just got our health care insurance rebates (as I'm self employed) and my 21 year old Apple loving son can stay on our plan now. And my friend's wife finally got coverage from a pretty bad pre existing condition. She was finally granted coverage in April which was the first day that the Healthcare act allowed her to with her condition. Unfortunately she died two month later. The republican congress contributed to her death by supporting insurance companies to deny coverage. The present and this policy will same millions of lives.

My business which had been pretty bad in 2009, and 2010, finally came back last year so I was able to purchase five new Apple products... after a three year drought (need to bring the discussion back to Apple here).

That is what happens when you have a Democrat in the White House. Seriously, just look at the numbers: Link

Oh, and THIS is the place for politix. Welcome!

That statement is such a joke.

Without a doubt, George W. Bush was the worst president of all time. Obama can't be worse than him, so making that statement is such a joke.

If you said he's in the bottom 10%, maybe your point could be valid if you're an Obama hater and against things like government healthcare, but saying something that extreme is just a joke.

Not an Obama hater, I just think he is a useless President. I am against government healthcare, mainly because it forces everyone to purchase Obamacare and not a HC provider of there choosing. It also imposes small companies with 2 employees to provide healthcare (mind you a more expensive hc package) for that 1 employee. On top of that he is taxing you out of the HC costs not for medical purposes but for funding his alternative ideas. I disagree with his stance on Religion in USA as well. Removing the Pledge of Allegiance from classrooms is the joke. Our Founding Fathers would be ashamed! In the Declaration of Independence God is mentioned 4x, and Christianity is what our country was founded on. I'll stop my rant there.

George W. was a decent but not even close to the worst. No one likes him because of 9/11 but if you were to put any person in that position who knows how they would react at that given time. Some would kill all Arabs foreign and domestic, others might just cry and act as if it never happened, who knows. He made a good decision and I respect him for that. Give me something he didn't do right...

Now Clinton I think is probably one of the worst, mainly because he tried selling secret F-16 codes / blueprints to China and Russia to help bring down our debt. He made a mockery of the office and his family and should have just been put out of his misery. Although I commend him for bringing down the Nation's debt and supplying jobs to all, along with building minority communities, thats awesome, just made a lot of mistakes along the way.

Didn't help that mid-term elections removed the Democratic majority Obama had during the first two years.

Agreed.

Yeah because the last three Republican presidents brought us 3 seperate recessions and 3 wars, the largest gap of income equality, sounds like the winning team to me, if you want go 3rd world developing nation vote republican.

Clinton wasn't Republican... So last 2. Obama promised decreased taxes on low income and mid-income families and to tax higher income individuals. Well that has happened and actually he has increased taxes on lower income families. He also hired Wall St. Money Managers after claiming he never would <- in reference to this it was because he wouldn't accept $$ for positions. Well one of the top investors was a Wall St MM and he made him one of the tops of his council. Needless to say everyone can be bought and everyone has a price.

Republican / Democrate it doesn't matter, these past 20 years we've had crap to choose from and to me honestly we would probably be better off without one. Congress and the House are a laughing stock as well, these petty arguments, fraud and infringement are humiliating for our nation.

You do know that Obama was blocked left and right by the republicans repeatedly. And if you are going to make an arguement about Obama's first term, at least have something to back it up.

Oh yeah....Romney is a terrible choice and unfortunately our ederly white males don't see it :)

He was blocked by his party as well, not all of them but some voted with the Republicans. You speak of first term as if he is getting a 2nd. If he does, we're all doomed. Hate to say it but I'm not an elderly white male =(, maybe 40 more years.

It's a mess on how no one in house, congress and the president can agree on anything. I know it's not just Obama but they've made several revisions to his healthcare for a reason...it sucked!

I expect more than a decade for a comeback. I had hoped by the end of his term more jobs would be brought back to the US instead of outsourcing like he promised to bring money back into America. But as Donald Trump stated "foreigners to a better job and they're so damn cheap!".

I'm gonna stop you right there and suggest you actually look into "Obamacare".

It is not a healthcare plan, just a requirement that you have coverage, meaning buy whatever insurance you want and your fine.

PLEASE look into these things before going on crazy long posts that have errors in the FIRST sentence.

Before Obama kids could stay on parents policies until 26 regardless of being in school or not...

Not to sure, I would use a cartoon to judge somebody by. And then have the nerve to call them a kook.

So if it were real actors, it would have merit?

The episode was actually factual. Joseph Smith was a nut, and so is Romney...Golly Gee, sorry you don't agree.

Okay, back to the app. It has been reported on Huffpost that this is nothing more than a ruse to collect all kinds of personal information from anyone who installs it. If you want the "inside track" to whatever sacrifice he picks you'll need to give Mr. Raider tons of personal contact info. Then again, it might be fun just to make it all up but I also wonder about the possibility of malware and spyware. Full disclosure, I won't be downloading the Obama app, either. I have to look at these two clowns too much as it is and I will not permit them to infect my phone.

That was never a federal requirement and offered solely at the discretion of HC companies.

Also, it was only put in the bill because "no one" under 26 has anything other than McJobs that don't pay enough for real insurance in this "new economy".

Obamacare forces people to purchase HC insurance, also allowing HC Providers to charge higher fee's than they are now. On top of that illegal immigrants are not forced to purchase insurance, how can they if they can't find these people, but if they're injured they have 100% coverage.

This is a pretty sad mindset you have here. It is the Government's job to provide roads, bridges, schools and all the things that you and Obama claimed "made" my business. I pay my taxes unlike many Americans so I along with many other hard working tax paying American's paid for those roads, bridges, and schools so don't give me that garbage.

Are you really crediting obama for getting Bin Laden? The only thing he said was "go." Given that information, I could have got bin laden.

I'm pretty sure Clinton had the ability to, and didn't. Obama took a risk, and he deserves credit for it. Why don't you want to give him credit? Lincoln gets credit for ending slavery, even though it was his troops that faught. That's how idioms work in English.

Just a question...where do you think the dollars to build and maintain those roads, utilities, bridges, and other infrastructure come from? Unicorn tears and pixie dust?

Probably someone else. Chances are that guy didn't repair the roads either. Like Obama said, you didn't build it on your own.
