They don’t plan on being the doormat of the AL East for much longer.

If the Orioles put a decent team together, the AL East will become the group of death. The Rays have already been unusually strong the last couple of seasons, and the Blue Jays have been building a team around Vlad Jnr, and the Red Sox and the Yankees are who they are. It was all going to be based on beating up on the Orioles in that division.

I am really hating the new trend in MLB to take out starting pitchers so quickly. Still can't believe the Dodgers pulled Kershaw after 7 with a perfect game. Analytics is ruining the joy of the game.

Yep. When I started playing, it was a duel between the battery and the hitter. Now it is a contest between each team's analytics departments. :(

Yeah. I mean, I get not wanting to wreck a pitcher's arm. Once you get over 100 pitches, you have to watch things. But guys are being pulled playing well after 70 pitches now. It's ridiculous.

Disdain for the Yankees aside (and I get it, I'm like that with the Patriots lol), four of their starters have an ERA of 3.12 or lower. Team ERA is 2.83. In my 20 years of watching baseball, I've never seen their pitching this locked in.
They really are.

The Mets are playing really well too.

Man I'd hate another Subway Series...

Clearly, the 2022 World Series will feature the Phillies against the Angels. They're the first teams to fire a guy who didn't play, so of course, the teams will win more games now.
Yeah, how many rings to those two have?

Yadier Molina blows a 76 MPH "heater" by Isaac Paredes of the Rays for his first (and hopefully only) career K.
This has been a strange, fun-to-watch season for the Cardinals so far.
