If the Orioles put a decent team together, the AL East will become the group of death. The Rays have already been unusually strong the last couple of seasons, and the Blue Jays have been building a team around Vlad Jnr, and the Red Sox and the Yankees are who they are. It was all going to be based on beating up on the Orioles in that division.

Yeah. I mean, I get not wanting to wreck a pitcher's arm. Once you get over 100 pitches, you have to watch things. But guys are being pulled playing well after 70 pitches now. It's ridiculous.
Boy the analytics teams would have gone nuts when Nolan Ryan was on the mound and pitched 13 innings and threw 235 pitches!!!

Yankees win% back to .700. It isn't as good as .750 like a couple weeks ago, but I'll take that.
Yankees are playing very well even when ravaged with injuries. I mean keeping Trout hitless an entire series isn't easy.
Disdain for the Yankees aside (and I get it, I'm like that with the Patriots lol), four of their starters have an ERA of 3.12 or lower. Team ERA is 2.83. In my 20 years of watching baseball, I've never seen their pitching this locked in.

Clearly, the 2022 World Series will feature the Phillies against the Angels. They're the first teams to fire a guy who didn't play, so of course, the teams will win more games now.
