I would rather see them lose a tight game or get blown out from the beginning.

Not see them blow an 8-3 lead.

Regarding your tag line, it is a shame that CV-6 was scrapped in 1959, rather than be preserved as a museum ship. Several people tried to get funding, but fell short.

The Yanks' record is impressive, but ask the '21 Dodgers (106 reg season wins) and '21 Giants (107 wins) which they'd rather have more, those season records, or the trophy that the Braves (88 wins) hoisted to finish the '21 season.

Astros pitched a no-no against the Yankees in the Bronx.

Reminds me of the no-hitter thrown against the Red Sox in 2018. Man, that team must've sucked.

Anyway, they were due to have one thrown against them. Hasn't happened to them since 2003 (reached the World Series that year btw). And I'm glad it was against a really good pitcher like Javier instead of some scrub.

I was an in-person witness to Baseball History on the 4th. It was the first ever game in which a player hit his first big league home run, and also featured an inside-the-park home run, and a walk-off home run. It was an exciting game. The solo ITPHR gave the visiting team the lead, but on their following turn at bat, they loaded the bases and left 'em all, unable to extend that 1-run lead. Although they got out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the ninth, a player who had struck out 4 times had the deciding 3-run HR in the 10th. I was not rooting for the home team. :(

I was flipping around the channels and by dumb luck caught Suzuki's inside the park HR live.

Cool! I had never seen one at a game I attended. We were seated in the upper deck, mid-way between third base and home. Everyone stood when he hit it, of course. Well, at least all of the Cubs fans did. He took off like a shot from the batter's box. After he rounded first I held up three fingers, then after second base, four fingers. His slide at home was perfection. Most exciting play in baseball!

I have been lucky enough to see an ISTPHR followed by a walk-off. But not their first HR.

It was 1977 or 78. Reds vs Pirates (I think, I was 11 or 12) at Riverfront. Dan Driessen hit an ISTPHR in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. Johnny Bench came up next and hit a walk-off. Very exciting for a kid. :)

I am not a Yankees fan, but this is the first season in a long time that I can tolerate them. Though the national media I still can't stand as they act like the Yankees are the only team in the MLB.
