It's not a Yankees fan thing. It's a history thing! Especially if Judge is clean, anyone should be rooting for Judge. And the home fans should be able to witness it.

Just like I was rooting for Pujols to reach 700.

But a large portion of the country despises the Yankees. I'd be thrilled to see Judge stuck at 60.

At season start, I figured he wouldn't reach 700, that he was on his last legs. But the dude has 21 HRs this season.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit it, but I thought it was a long shot, too. You'd think I'd know better than to count him out, having watched him all those years in STL.

But that is a result of the rest of the line up not getting on base, 1st base is open, and no protection behind Judge. If Stanton wasn't struggling right now, Judge would get challenged instead of walked to load the bases like he did last night. Like he was in the first half of the season because walking Judge would have meant facing Stanton and he at the time was only a few HR's behind Judge.

I had my doubts. I guess this was one benefit of the NL going to the DH. Albert would not be in St. Louis, and possibly not in the game. I'm glad he passed ARod. At least now there is only one cheater in the top 4. Hank is still the honest to goodness home run champ.
