MLB At Bat 2011 on Jailbroken device?

Just a question. I have an iPhone4, 4.2.1 JB with Greenpois0n. I have an MLB Premium subscription. I am logged in and I haven't been able to see any video for any Red Sox game since the beginning of ST. I am in NY. Could you tell me how you watched a Red Sox game? I must be doing something wrong. :(

I think just very few games are televised right now. The amount of streaming games should start to rise as we get closer to opening day.

I think being a Red Sox fan living in New York is your problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the Steinbrenner's were able to redirect all Red Sox streams to the Yankee games in the New York area!
 
Jail broken iPad on 4.2.1 with GreenP0ison, just tried live video and was able to watch the tail end of some California spring training game. This was using the iPad version of the MLB app. I didn't do anything special.

Wow!!!

I was having the same problem. Even emailed MLB.

WhatI did after following the thread was to go into display out and disable that
I opened up MLB and started a video feed and IT WORKED. I am telling you it NEVER worked before I did this.

Then double tapped home button and enabled display out. Then double tapped back to MLB

BINGO

It was randomly broadcast, not all spring training games are broadcast, even for full season members...
 
anyone have it working with a location spoofer? after downloading the update for at bat, my video is now working, however if i fake my location i get a "media error" message when trying to watch a live game.


Edit: i changed my location to within the US and its now working, I had used out of the country at the end of last season to watch the post season.

double edit: the video keeps cutting out. It works at first, but then the video goes away and there is only sound. probably an at bat bug.
 
At Bat 11 JB

So, if a JB iPhone downloaded a copy of MLB At Bat 11, and it's not playing any of the Opening Day Games because it says the user needs a "Premium Account" is that because the App knows the App was downloaded with purchase, or is it because all Opening Day games are available on TV? The phone is in Dallas and it's trying to view the Detroit and New York game, but it keeps saying that the user needs a Premium Account.

The app doesn't help you if you don't have an account with MLB. I have a JB'n phone and the app from Installous and its working fine here.
 
If you subscribe to MLB.TV you won't have the "Premium Account" problem. Unfortunately purchasing the app for $14.99 doesn't include a subscription to mlb.tv. I started my subscription yesterday and got the AtBat app from Installous. Then I downloaded the Location Spoofer and my life couldn't be better. I'll gladly pay $19.99 a month to be able to watch Cubs (and Sox) games on my iPhone in Chicago. Location Spoofer may be the best JB asset I've ever used.

MLB.tv is free through april.. at least that's what the little ad says at the bottom of my atbat app :) I was able to watch some yesterday and I don't have a mlb.tv subscription. I did, however, purchase the atbat app in the app store and not through installous.

i'm not getting that banner at the bottom of the app...

and it's not letting me watch any games either

hmm do you have the latest update? it even talks about the free trial in the description of the at bat app in the app store... though of course you can only watch out of market games unless you have a location faker.
 
Why do you guys use location spoofer? Should I use it if I am using hacked apps?

I am not using a hacked app. We use location spoofers to get around the blackouts. MLB.tv blackouts all the phillies games since I am in the philly area and can watch them on tv. Well I don't care about the out of market teams... i want to watch my phillies when i am not near a tv! hence the location spoofer :)
 
I used the location spoofer at the end of the season last year and it worked like a charm.

This year, it's not working. Looks like they've fixed it. We need to find another work around.

I have location spoofer working on my iPhone but it won't work on my iPad.
The MLB app on the iPad is updated and now it wont accept spoofing I dare not update my iPhone MLB app. I even downgraded the iPad MLB app, but no luck. Anyone else ?
 
I have location spoofer on both my ipad/iphone and is not working on the mlb app on either platform. When searching for my location in the mlb app, it shows that I'm in the spoofed area, but still says that I can't watch the game in my actual area.

If I use an older version of the app, I get a "Media Error - bad URL".

I'm afraid they may be looking at our ip addresses now to determine the location. And, unless I missed it, I don't know of any jb ip address faker apps available.

That's not good news. Would using My3G (or similar) in combination with location spoofer help? I'd test it out but I don't have location spoofer and would rather not spend the money if it doesn't work for MLB at Bat 11.

Has anyone with both tweaks tried this combination?

I was on top of that today before I saw this. Do not update MLB at bat!!!

This is my exact problem too! I wonder if doing a fresh install of a JB with an older version of MLB might do the trick? Any testers ?
 
Don't mean to hijack.. Is there a hack to allow airplay for MLB and then to stream it to my iPad? I don't want to pay for another app and then a subscription.....
