For all those having problems... I'm jb 4.1 have the latest update for at bat and I am having no problems using location spoofer. Where are you setting your location? Are you sure you're not trying to watch a prime game that is blacked out in the entire US? My location is currently set to Dublin Ireland and I can view the giants game that is a national blackout.

I was on top of that today before I saw this. Do not update MLB at bat!!!

My phone is running 4.1 and my MLB at Bat 11 is 4.0.2 since iTunes reviews say there are ads in the most current release. Is this a version that's still working with location spoofer?

Edit - I took the $2 plunge and will be able to test it out tomorrow. I'll post the results here.

I have location spoofer on both my ipad/iphone and is not working on the mlb app on either platform. When searching for my location in the mlb app, it shows that I'm in the spoofed area, but still says that I can't watch the game in my actual area.

If I use an older version of the app, I get a "Media Error - bad URL".

I'm afraid they may be looking at our ip addresses now to determine the location. And, unless I missed it, I don't know of any jb ip address faker apps available.

It's working fine for me. You may want to make sure that your location is set somewhere in the United States or it might not work. You may need to update your MLB app or your location spoofer because both of mine are working just fine as of yesterday.

That's not good news. Would using My3G (or similar) in combination with location spoofer help? I'd test it out but I don't have location spoofer and would rather not spend the money if it doesn't work for MLB at Bat 11.

Has anyone with both tweaks tried this combination?

I had My3G, Location Spoofer and MLB all working at the same time. I did turn My3G off because it's not really needed, but they all do work together. My3G does allow you to turn off individual apps so you can always try that.

What iOS are you using?

I'm on 4.2.1 with MLB At Bat 4.0.2. I got rid of location faker (worked last year) and went to location spoofer and it is now working.

I still need a practical work around for PC. I've found that finding a working and reliable proxy is tough. Any help on the PC front?

interesting...i will give that a try. any recommendations?

Sorry, no, but I'm sure a few google's will net you results. What about the option of JB'ing the ATV as well? No ATV here for me yet as my TV's don't support HDMI and I'm not yet convinced to buy a new TV just so I can get an ATV.

I use my laptop and simply hook it up via s-video and bluetooth for audio, works fine. I haven't had to spoof the IP yet as I'm a Mets fan in Boston and the odds of a blackout aren't high.

Right on. I JB my ATV as well and have added ATV Flash, but I haven't seen any location spoof packages for ATV. I'm pretty new to jailbreaking, so I just might not be looking in the right places.

iPad/iPhone4 - LocationSpoof but No Luck

iPad or iPhone

Yeah, I'm curious of the same thing.

I've tried a few different ways to get it to work, and I have to do it.

iPad and iPhone 4 - 4.3.1 JB'n via RedSn0w

I've tried FakeLocation as well as LocationSpoofer.

Both enable the MLB to "hone-in" on my location (the blue dot, big large circle), but it still doesn't really use that data for determining where you're located.

Example. I intentionally tried to watch today's Cub's game and had location set to Chicago. It still let me watch it because I'm in NY.

When I tried watching the Yankee's game last night, it did not work.

I had purchased the iPad and iPhone versions of MLB At Bat. I tried back-tracking to previous At Bat versions via Installous (4.0, 4.01, 4.02, 4.1, and 4.1.1). None of these worked for me.

Anyone have any success on the iPad?

Thanks.

Here is a work around..
Use an iPhone MLB version on your iPad with full force to make the resolution better. It is a little glitchy but it works fine. And yo only need it for your in town game anyway

I have had success on my iphone. I have the same jailbreak as you, and using locationspoof I am able to watch the Twins (and I'm in minnesota.) Not sure about ipad...

still haven't figured out a way to get the video (i get audio) to stream to my apple tv 2G...

I have had success on my iPhone but no success on my iPad watching blackout games.

iPhone 4 running os 4.1 jb w/ latest MLB app 4.1.1 and fake location from Cydia. I can watch blackout games on my device using this setup.

On the iPad 1st gen I have OS 4.2.1 jb w/ latest MLB app 4.1.1 and I've tried fake locator and Locspoof and although MLB may register the pin to where I set it (Maine) it still says the game is a blackout.

From my not so scientific testing, it seems like we need to revert to an older OS in order for this to work.

For what it's worth, Fake Location works for me on my jailbroken iPad with 4.3.1 and the MLB At Bat 2011 app. Must be a location inside the US though.

At Bat 2011 results ipad1/3GS

Confirmed working:

ipad1: JB ios 4.3.1,MLB atbat 2011 4.0.2, Fakelocation 1.4-1 crack (works outside us for weekend games)

note: MLB atbat 2011 v4.1.0/4.1.1 has HDMI out disabled and Fakelocation not functional unless pptp vpn tunnel established first. 4.0.2 works great with hdmi av adapter for streaming live games with full screen. Only real benefit running 4.1.X is pretty graphics and access to archive games if a subscriber. The hdmi output is noticeably better from ipad than boxee box. Looks like mlb provides an optimized stream for apple users only.

iphone 3GS: JB ios 4.2.1, MLB atbat 4.1.1, Fakelocation 1.4-1 crack

MLB developers have created two separate builds for ipad and iphone and it appears they have somewhat successfully blocked fakelocaton on latest ipad version.

Question: any hacks to re-enable HDMI out on atbat v 4.1.x? It does not appear this feature will return for whatever reason? TVout2 too buggy. Probably thought users would purchase apple tv instead. Lame. :apple:

I use fake location on ipad 4.3.1
No problems with MLB 2011. I can now watch the 2 local NY teams. I set my fake location to Maine. ( only Red Sox games are blacked out).

At Bat Version 4.20 was released yesterday for iPhone. The description says that it now supports A/V out! Quite a surprise. Has anyone tried it yet? Any idea whether the new version still works with Location Spoofer?
