use Mosiac, it's worth it.
Here's how I got full screen:
1) In the Flip4Mac settings in System Prefs, select the option that says something like launch quicktime rather than open video in browser.
Then, when you lauch the video it will open in quicktime
2) Then, when the video is running in quicktime, use the quicktime fullscreen script to make it full screen.
and poorly synced audio. The audio is probably the worst of the problems. Sometimes the audio is running a few seconds in front of video feed.
As an example, today I've experienced, freezing video and terrible synced audio on the Cubs game. And trying to watch any kind of replays of yesterdays Rays game results in a failed buffer (consistently at about 15 seconds remaining).
This is on a C2D 20" iMac. I'm using Firefox with Flip4Mac. The problems persist with the in-browser player and also when I save the streaming file and open it in Quicktime.
It's kinda sad. This service could be awesome.
Anyone else seeing these issues?
Ha, yeah. I've been a Tigers fan my entire life, and I'll stay loyal as long as it takes.
As for the problem, I got my problem fixed on the official Flip4Mac board. For one, I switched my colors from thousands to millions in settings, and also deleted the DivX Quicktime codec. MLB.TV is working fine... for now.
Huh, I must be having a "dumb" day b/c I can't figure out Mosaic (I paid for the prem package). I use flip4mac... Gonna have to keep messing around w/ this..
Same here for me...& it hasn't been isolated to today's Cubs v. Reds game--every game I get audio that is out of sync w/ the video. I paid for the season-long prem package, so I am supposed get the 700kbps feed... It's really annoying to here the result of the play/pitch, then see the video of it a couple seconds later... Oh, & using Flip4mac w/ QT, I have no clue how to get Mosaic to work either..
Last season, MLB TV allowed users to watch live games via RealPlayer. However, it seems that the current version of MLB TV has eliminated Real Player support, leaving subscribers with the sole option of watching live games in Windows Media Player.
By comparison, the quality is horrendous and the stream is constantly rebuffering. I wanted to know if there are any alternatives to this and/or other ways of making the viewing experience more tolerable.
How about this : Joost TV ! live TV streaming over the internet
http://www.tvjoost.nl/ this website gives away free invitations!!
If your behind a firewall, hardware or software, you will probably see some improvements in opening up the necessary ports.
Maybe Sweet Lou and that $300 million will get you all a third place finish this year!![]()
Oh, and sorry about Jason Marquis, I wouldn't even wish him on Cubs' fans.
Yeah, I'm subscribed. I sent an e-mail to customer service, but no response so far (after three days), except a message to tell me they have a high volume of questions and it would take a while to get to mine. I'll call them next week.
