I Restored From A Backup Because I Wanted My Contacts And Pics?
I did that too, but I was just wondering if that could be the cause of the issue. I'm tempted to go through the jailbreak/unlock process again to try the mms settings without restoring.

Hey if you do it again please let me know I was going to do it but im lazy lol

In case anybody is wondering, Swirly MMS works with 3.0 for those who have a 2G.
How? cydia will not allw download as it states it requires firmware less than 3.0. This is even on their website. I woudl love for this to work again.

When I send a text, it goes thorugh, and completes, and my buddy can send me texts, but he never gets mine.

We are both on tmobile

EDIT : he received it, just a few minutes later, nice!

I'm on a recently unbroken 3g, running 3.0 on T-Mob and I don't have a problem with sending and receiving texts, although they aren't saving, so basically I dont have a running log of my conversations. Any ideas? Putting in a call to T-Mobile and will respond with their comments if helpful.

Wel'll I spoke with T-Mobile and they didn't provide much assistance. Said it could possibly be a problem with the Sim Card (but also ruled out, due to the fact that it is functioning). I'll keep tinkering.

I had the same issue as some people where it wasn't working at first, but then it worked later. It's just like the software unlocks where it doesn't detect the network at first, but later on, it does. For me, resetting the APN settings, then entering it in as it appeared in the thread worked out for me. I'd say give it an hour or so before giving it a shot. Rebooting might help too.

and u need help with the MMS settings...these worked for me!!!

I just spent an hour with tier 3 tech support for t-mobile and we couldn't get it to work. They gave me the same settings but with an http://, I tried it without like you said and it worked great! Thanks so much!

Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but I'm trying to get mms working on my iphone 3gs without any luck. I've done the usual internet searches in spoken to T-mobile without luck.

If anyone else was in the same position then I would be grateful for some help. Please remember its for T-mobile UK and the phone is officially unlocked by Apple (bought in Italy).

Thanks.

sorry for the ignorance - but how are you supposed to use this? Where do you put this info in?

I'm in the us .. iphone 3g 3.0 tmobile

For those of you wondering, and that have t-zones and stuff, i'm not sure if that may be why its not working, but to help with any other info, i have the unlimited loyalty plan (which is unlimited minutes), and the other things i have is unlimited messages and the total internet add-on. Under my edge settings, i have "internet2.voicestream.com" and then for the MMS, i have what i previously posted in the other post. I'm not sure if that might explain why it works for me.
Also, in regards to Group MMS, i have been able to get it to work. It does take its sweet A$$ time, but it pushes. Also, even though my phone is just an ordinary 3G, and not the 3GS, i have a friend who is also on T-mobile, and he sent me a video clip that he recorded of B.A.P.S. (LOL) off of one of the TMobile provided phones off of the TV, and he sent it to me, and it was able to play off my phone.
Unfortunately, i couldn't reply with a video, but it's pretty refreshing to know that i could still receive vids... :)

for me

i put the .ipcc file on the iphone through itunes of course. Then i turned on wap push and mms on in the options of my phone. Then i called att and asked if they would enable my phone to have mms and they id. i restet my phone twice actually both for about 5 min a piece. Now i have all mms and tethering working together perfectly for about a week now!

maybe these steps may help for t moble too

unable to send

i was able to send yesterday, today i was getting the red ! i checked the settings and the apn field was not complete anymore, tried to add the settings several times but it wouldnt save it, i emptied all settings, and reset network settings, it let me add the settings and it saved. Went to do a message but the camera icon was gone, reboot and it was back, tried again, failed, verified settings were still in there and they are. stupid question maybe but does mms require an internet connection? i dont have a data plan but was on wifi before when it worked and now its not, thats the only thing i can think of. help please. - t-mobile U

well i highly doubt that the internet is the problem, i had that same problem when i first updated the .ipcc file. it worked a few times then never worked again. Then when i called and asked the people to provision my phone for mms it works perfectly.
