honestly i could believe they would do them by regions but to complete the whole US within a couple days.

just think ATT sends out 'you can now send/receive MMS on your iPhone' txt to about 25 million ppl.

first thing we all would do within 5 mins is test it out

...and BOOM.. att down

If the original poster did not apply the carrier file hack, how the heck did he get the "camera icon" in the first place? Something sounds strange here. If I remember correctly, the GM disables MMS from even being an option.

Yeah that is what I am wondering about, well I guess I just have to wait until it's officially released.

Okay so you do change the settings. well I have all of that filled in and everything with 5.0 I guess I am good to go without restoring then and I can just call.

YEs go ahead and call. The goal of you call is to complain like crazy that you dont want to have links. And Also make sure that you voice that you know that MMS is not available for the iPhone but that you just do not want that annoying like sent to your phone because its such a hassle.

exactly.....you cant just have new icons and settings magically appear. They are changed via updates through iTunes. Remember when they added the ability to toggle 3G? Did that magically appear? NO....it was implemented with a carrier update via iTunes. This should be no different. You cannot just have new settings panes, features, and icons appear out of no where, AND AT&T does not have control of the software on your phone, just the cellular data, so they couldn't just make changes to your phone like that over the air.
