MobileMe Finally Online?

what an eventful day for Apple. too bad so far nothing has benefited me...at all

They clearly stated on their website that the .mac to MobileMe change over would result in the system being unavailable for 6 hours, though my reading of it was that this was the maximum time and it was likely to be less. They've over run that by 14 hours and counting.

That is a pretty major screw up and most definitely not what they advertised and is made worse by a complete lack of updates on the status.

They could very easily of delayed MobileMe or the app store going live, instead they decided to go for doing everything over a couple of days. Anyone could see that is a recipe for disaster.

Having said all that I'm not too bothered as I don't use .mac much so it hasn't caused me any problems.

I do understand the frustration, but it's a kind of fun frustration. It's not like the frustration of waiting in a hospital where they don't seem to be taking your bleeding child's case seriously enough though really is it?

What's .MacMeMobile a year now? 70 of her majesty's pounds? Divide by 365... and I've lost... 19p.

Hum, I hope they get it sorted by this time next week or it will be over a pound.

Ah it's a joke and NOT a big rant about how you would have rolled it out professionally without any problems then.

Heh... are you kidding me.... with so many subscribers... something is bound to screw up, you cannot take into consideration all aspects of stress testing without actually putting it out in the field.

It seems sarcasm does not quite convey well over text....
(I am a Sysadmin by trade though, that was was not kidding about...)

HAHAA my response to your screen cap almost got me banned... apparently there were a few complaints. :confused: :eek:
