it's the default mobileme page when logged out. try logging in to .mac, it is still UP

If you are LOGGED IN to .Mac, it appears as still being up.
If you LOG OUT and then try accessing www.mac.com, it redirects the page.

well .Mac is not up.. But .me isn't up yet... tomorrow when i wake up it will probably be up.

.me won't be up yet, that's the whole point of this .mac goes down, sometime later on MobileMe will be up

That's very possible.

Out electrical company regularly posts warnings in the local paper that outages are possible on certain dates and times for maintenance, but it rarely actually goes out.

Yes... it's still running at full capacity! This is the most stable .Mac has been in a long time, right before it is going away for ever!
