I have been using a wallet my whole life, but ive always loved money clips. How many here use money clips over wallets? What are the disadvantages or advantages to money clips?

Wallets are the best. They can hold so many things at once.

Agreed. I carry too much crap to use a money clip.

I'm sensing a demand for money clips that can hold a bunch of crap. :)

I prefer the wallet. Mostly before it is just better for carrier my plastic cards. Plus it is not like I ever have that much money on me. Hell on a good day I have 20 bucks cash.

More often than not I have less than 10 bucks cash on me. I mostly pay with my credit card for everything.

I use a small wallet. It is the best ever. I have about 10 cards in it and the ability to carry up to 10-15 bills in between the sides of the wallet. Best purchase ever.

I use both (where's that option on the poll?). If I wear shorts, I use a money clip and put it in my front pocket. Anything else, I use a wallet.

I use one of those small front pocket wallets with built in money clip. Just enough to carry a few cards, license and my cash. Anything bigger, it's a purse. ;)

I guess that's what I use... not a money clip. This is what I have...

    The clip is magnetic.

I don't understand the point of a money clip. It's just a fashion accessory, and doesn't really carry cash in a beneficial way. There are so many different wallets to choose from, and each with its own carrying capacity. ;)

I own 2 wallets -- a big wallet, and a thin one to wear with some trousers and jeans.

I have the perfect regular-sized wallet, but I'm looking for a better thin wallet. I want one with a see-through card holder that can hold some coins. ;)

I voted for "money clip," but in reality, my money clip is just a binder clip. I've been using one for the past 3-4 years. Works great for me.

Me too. Wallets are waaay too huge and bulky for my taste. In fact I carry a money clip/wallet thing and i wish it were even smaller. Aside from any cash I carry, it holds... (let's see...) Driver's license, bank card, blockbuster card, key card for work, casino card. Not a whole lot, but I would still like to only have to carry the cash. The smaller the better in my opinion.

I've never seen anyone use a money clip, they sound a little pointless? Maybe I'm missing the point somewhat.

I only use money clips when I'm going to the beach or working out or something. I have way too much junk to not carry a wallet.

I primarily use a money clip, but if I need to carry cards etc. with me, I also have a card case I use occasionally

I use a wallet. Don't really carry much cash with me as I prefer to use cards. Especially since I get cash back when using my check card. What a deal cash back and no interest since it draws from my checking account.

Though if I joined the Mafia I would carry a money clip.

I use something very similar. I like it because I can't keep putting stuff in it, thereby forcing me to maintain a semblance of order.

Wallets are easier, I can get at the bills I want without having to take all the money out.

Haa, ya when I get married I'm sure I won't have a need to carry a wallet as it will always be empty.:p

Hmmm I never ventured at the idea of using both? I suppose it would work, both conveniant and inconveniant. Well I tihnk I will try the money clip, which i feel just has some class to it. I love wallets and I just need to change things up and get either a new wallet or a money clip. Well see how it works.

Wallet, although finding a new wallet is a tortuous experience for me since I don't wear/buy leather. Right now I have a vinyl wallet, but they tend to fall apart in a few years. I might look into a metal money clip when my current wallet falls apart.
