Anyone have a pic of the iPhone 5 next to the Case? I'm curious about how thick the case is compared to the naked phone. (Looks thin, but Hard to tell thickness in the OP's pics) Does it feel like it adds weight to the phone or is it unnoticeable?

It's literally just enough to raise the screen off the table when you lay it down. Doesn't add any weight really.

I'll post some pics for you tomorrow..its really thin

adds really no weight, at least not noticeable. my iP5 is still light with it on.

I just looked at the picture in the first post of this thread. I don't understand how it'll be difficult to put the connector on with this bumper. There's so much space for the little Lightning connector to be inserted.

Guys, as I posted in a separate thread, you can use cheap alcohol rubbing pad to quickly and safely remove the monoprice logo. Just rub with some pressure for about 10 seconds until it comes off. :)

They can be bought for about $2 at a pharmacy for about 100 pads.

Does the rubbing alcohol remove the logo in its entirety?

Pictures make it APPEAR that the opening is wider where the connector goes in. That is not true, though. It stays the same width. It interferes JUST enough to keep the connector from going in.

I got the Poetic and thought the sleep/wake button was incredibly hard to press. I didn't keep it on long for that reason. I would like to find a bumper with metal buttons like the Apple bumpers had, those were really sweet.

got mine today and love it. waiting for the bodyguardz back and sides before puttin it on. don't want it to end up like my iP4 and scratch the sides.

I have this combo but found with the top "sticker" on the sleep/wake button was very hard to press. Once I took it off all was good.

I can confirm it does. Well it removes the white paint in the text. It's basically impossible to see the "Monoprice" unless you shine it directly under a lamp.

On a different note, I'm hoping the SGP glas.T will work with this. I doubt it, but that protector looks sweet. If not, I'm gonna hold off for the PS Anti-Glare probably.

I got the same bumper from Amazon. Has the same problem with the lightning connector not seating completely. The Vendor contacted me and said a new improved model is soon available and he offered to refund or replace my existing one. So this problem will be fixed in newer models. :apple:

just needed an xacto knife and trimmed the bottom a bit. didn't take but a few minutes and works perfect now. not even noticeable that i cut it a bit.

anyone put anything other than a side sheild to protect the the sides from scratches? i know some haven't had any scratching yet but after what my iP4 looked like with apple's bumper i dont want to take the chance.

As I just received this today, I am disappointed. It is too slim if you have front and back skins and it will not work with them. The bumper lifted each corner and the edge of the front left side. I've had these skins on for 4 days so they are set. Or they were set, as now I bet they will start lifting with use. The rubber around the outside feels like cheap plastic. Also as mentioned before you have to modify the case to put in the lightning plug. Very annoyed with this bumper. All I want is the same bumper I had on my 4. I hope the DX.com bumper is better.

Once you get the bumper on, just lift up the sides and push the screen protector down with a credit card. That worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you too.

Planning on trying to file down the bottom where the plug goes.

the iphone 5 bumpers you see with the metal buttons (on ebay, amazon, etc) are the exact thickness as the one for the 4s....might want to get those instead if back and skin protectors don't work with the monoprice bumper

I was able to get my bumper onto my phone that's covered with a bestskinsever skin and a Spigen screen protector.

Props to the OP and thread.

I just received my bumper from Hong Kong yesterday. It's a good thing I order mine from Monoprice on Tuesday. Because this thing is going in the garbage as soon as I get this one from Monoprice.

I got mine today in white. Def. not the same quality as the Apple bumper - but for $6 shipped or there about - its a keeper! Great fit too and my headphones, car jack and Lightning connector all work just fine.

SO stoked. I bought this for 5 bucks like a week before the iPhone 5 even came out, now I know it's bomb :) just gotta wait for the phone to get here...

Can someone tell me if the bottom of the case is loose?

Also, did they update the lightening port issue?

I just ordered one last week, got it last night. I have no issues with my lightning port. The bumper is firm but soft on the sides that touch the screen and back, and feels pretty soft on the inside. Took it off and put it on 3 or 4 times last night to check for scratches and no issues, also no issues with my cheap eBay screen protector.
