You forgot the updates to the PowerMacs in that list. And the iApp update is three seperate products that were updated. Among other smaller announcements by Apple at MacWorld.
I realized it straight after posting it but didn't have time to repost before you pointed it out...

You guys are on the ball...

Respekkkt!!!

I think this is what we have been waiting for! There is a message when you try to enter the store saying that they are updating and will be online within the hour... Look forward to seeing which of those rumours are true.

When arn says it like that, you'd better believe him. Anyway, iPod updates for another day (not everything at the same time, tsk tsk tsk...).

Nooooooooooo

I will not stand for it:mad:

I want a new iPod.

Arn...make it happen please!

Even if it aint true please just say it is so I can have half an hour's happiness. Please Arn;)

Well, I'm still optimistic.

Besides, my 20 gigger still hasn't shiped!! The same thing happened to my 15" PB.

It kept getting delayed until the new ones came out.. The Ipod is showing the same behavior..

We shall see..

At least we were first for something...putting the store down ;-) do we get penalised for a false start? hehe

There was also someone who said that his sources mentioned also the 15" PBook update at the same time as the iMacs...

Any idea ?

(I know: we shall see in a few minutes...)

Uk Apple Store Wins Race

Reuters breaking news...

The UK have today been crowned World Champions.

In a rare victory over the US, the UK Apple Store team were the first past the Winners Post in taking the Apple Store offline.

The Queen has asked for an informal Tea Party for the victorius Champions this afternoon.

More details as they arise.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

US Store.

I thought all those posts were for the UK store... Anyway, they're both down now (UK AND US)

can someone explain to me the us/canada/sing/jap telephone system of having letters in a number? how do you dial them? has anyone tried one of them numbers to see if they will spill the beans?

Not to stray off subject here, but has anyone noticed that when the Apple store is down, you can't check your order status? (At least in Europe.) No big deal I guess, but it just seems stupid to me, especially since I have a 12" powerbook coming up and I NEED to check the status everey 10-15 minutes! :D

have a look at your mobile.

Each number has letters associated to it.

Very popular advertising method in US e.g.

Dial-4-PIZZA

Assuming you have a mobile - check the keypad: see the letters on each key? Just dial the words... so 1-800-MY APPLE is really 1-800-69 27753.

JUST SPOKE TO TELESALES UK .....

Definetly new imac or ipod operator said but wouldn't say which.................

There are 3 letters above each number.

Example:
uist01-f1.jpg

Some companies just take advantage of the letters being there and give out their number as 1-800 MY APPLE (which translates to 1-800 692 7753). It makes it easier to remember. I thought that all phones were pretty much like this now
