Mystery Boxes - Someone open them at 12:01am

Will someone open these mystery boxes and post a pic - 12:01am Monday 6/9

I could've got a job at the Regent Street store this Summer. Decided to work abroad in stead. Kicking myself now.

I knew about the probable 3G iPhone at WWDC, but thought it wouldn't be that exciting. Epic Fail.

new mystery boxes showing up.

so does this means that the old pictures with mystery iPhone van actually be legit and we have already seen what the new iPhone will look like?
if so I dong really like it all that
ugh and the old one looked better
what do you all think?

hmmmmm:confused:
who the hell is in the pic anyway and why isn't he wearing apple uniform or whatever its called, im exhausted and cant be bothered to think.:D

I've never seen an Apple Employee with that shirt on

If the photo is from Aus then it look like it is most likely a reseller, NextByte or some other official branch, as we have no official Apple Stores here yet, and thus they are not required to wear 'Apple Uniform' as such. The OSX lanyard that the person in the photo is wearing indicates that they likely work for an official reseller.

Just to stir it up a little, a news report in today's paper here states that the Sydney Apple Store will open at 5pm on the 19th of June, thus there is speculation that that will be the iPhone on sale date here in Aus. Article Link.

WAIT YOU MEAN THEY SEAL ThE BOXES BEFORE MAILING THEM WOW.

I am all for this being evidence of a new iphone or mac tablet, but come on whats next? "The road is wet, possibly we had some rain."

At the Village Pointe store in Omaha, NE...normally that would be nothing to cheer about, except John (The Leopard walkthrough guy) is their GM and anytime he disappears it usually means something is coming up and he was helping film the guided tour.

I was getting the MagSafe adapter replaced on my MBP and was just idly chatting with some of the Genius Bar guys when I asked them "So if I was to bet money that the 3G iPhone comes out tomorrow, would I be richer or poorer?"

The two Mac Geniuses I was talking to both looked at each other and smiled then said "Richer". Right about that time an assistant manager came over and gave them the look of death and they switched the topic.

Take that for whatever its worth, but I have a feeling that its definitely iPhone stuff in those boxes. Probably just in store promo stuff, as others have said, but exciting nonetheless.

So are we left to believe that AT&T Wireless stores are doing a better job at "keeping quiet" than the Apple employees are at the Apple stores? Why have we not heard anything about AT&T stores getting boxes?

AT&T always promotes the iPhone differently then Apple and resellers do. I doubt they will get the same "Mystery Box". They will have their own, different displays and signs.................

i dunt think at&t will be getting these boxes, they might just get the iphone shipments just like they would get any other phone shipped, and im starting to believe that they havent recieved these shipments yet
apple might probably start t ship these iphones after the keynote announcement

didnt apple stores and at&t stores get shipment of iphones in morning and was on sale in afternoon/evening. so we cant really say much the now

what makes this worse is that the open time says Tuesday.. Isnt this box meant to be from a London store? also... I've never seen an Apple Employee with that shirt on

EDIT: no mention that the box shown is the London box... debate?

There is an 8 hour time difference between San Francisco and London. Even if Jobs walks out at 10AM and shows off a new iPhone, it's still already 6pm in London. I don't know how late they stay open, but I'd suggest not opening the package until Tuesday too. Though, if I were the manager of that store I'd probably open it early. ;)

I highly doubt that the box contains an actual product. If there was an actual product inside of it, why send only one? ;)

If anything, I think these boxes contain sales kits and brochures concerning tomorrow's announcement.

If you look at the second picture on web-mobile you can see some reflection on the plastic wrap of the black iPhone box inside. That seems like either some argument that its real or some very careful photoshop work. Personally, I say its 100% fake because its flat grey. We've heard black, white and even red, but grey? That color is hideous...it doesn't really seem consistent with Apples style seeing as how they almost only use black, white or heavy gloss on their products. That grey face just looks stupid to me. Also, something about the angles of the reflection of the envelope on the phone/wrapping in the third picture looks kind of fishy to me. I don't think we've seen the new iPhone yet.

"a padlocked" box. Too bad it's cardboard. :D

Lol that's true...now where did I put that box cutter?

I just realized that tomorrow is Monday. Wooohoooo!!! I love it when good days creep up on me like that. I think the box is real. The new iPhone will be announced but won't ship for a couple weeks.

That doesn't really mean it's fake. You just think it makes it fake.

In the Australian Box thread the stamp seal below the white lable is blue/gray and towrds the middle while the one in this thread is green and towrds the left....

So these are two different boxes....

May be these are genuine boxes from Apple if they have arrived at multiple retailers. I was doubting these boxes earlier because normally people stamp seal the boxes so that half of the stamp seal is on the label and half on the box....

I'm not really much interested in rumors or speculation anymore. The real announcement is only one day away, so I'm just going to content myself with hoping that the new iPhone actually will be going on sale after the Keynote tomorrow. Although I'll be surprised if that actually happens!

We can still hope though....
