EDIT: I stand corrected. I always assumed it was a necessity to make the device more secure. I was wrong!

Lots of pages of comments, so I'm sure someone has said this but....
Gotta be a fake - at least fake OS (Android with iOS skin). iOS REQUIRES a complex passcode with TouchID. So if you have TouchID enabled and swiped to the right, you wouldn't see that simple PIN interface - you'd see this:

When i swipe to the right I see the pin interface. There may be an option for a complex passcode but it's a pin by default.
The phone is real. Deal with it.
You can have the option of sticking with the simple passcode. Reason being that touch id isn't 100% accurate, and there will still be times when you need to key in your passcode as your fingerprint doesn't register.
If it's an android skin, then it's an extremely elaborate and accurate one. And a lot of work for something which will be debunked in a day's time. I am not sure why anyone would bother, to be honest.
??? I actually really like the new design. I was mistake about the passcode thing - thought TouchID required a complex passcode. I got a conversation that I had with someone asking about TouchID and the requirement of complex passcodes by their office/Exchange server.....
I'm "dealing" with it just fine thanks.

Aye - my mistake. See above and I've edited my post.![]()
To add on, using the alphanumeric passcode is not an unreasonable thing to do, in theory at least. Your iphone is still as secure as your passcode, so using a more complex passcode can make it harder to crack (assuming they can't bypass Touch ID). However, it can also mean greater inconvenience for the user when he needs to type it in as well, so pick your poison.![]()
but physical parts of the teardrop was never leaked nor captured on camera. so no proof of existence.
Yes - I was just thinking this was requirement versus choice.
I use a complex passcode as I like the added security. Only time I EVER have to actually type it out is after I've restarted my phone. TouchID works for me every time.
Unfortunately, I'll be at work![]()

It is here on macrumors, and everywhere on the internet.
I'm sure it was ... but Destiny made it popular.
I would say it works about 90% of the time for me? Either way, not foolproof enough for me to consider switching over to alphanumeric pass code anytime soon.![]()
Ok, cool. I take that point.Definitely needs explaining? #1 priority? Ha (I'm joking).
Because 90% of the time they look like garbage on the phone. What point is there in covering something that looks good, to make it look like garbage, just to "protect" it? Protect it for what? Re-sale? It's a phone, not a collectible. Just use it.
I'm sure you and most others on here have them installed correctly, but most "in the wild" that I see, do not. I obviously didn't mean literally harming.
To each their own, but I just feel like people have been "trained" to feel they need accessories. No, I don't use a case. I think covering a great metal and glass industrial design with PLASTIC.. is just horrible. Yes, mine has wear on it, but I think it looks good.
That is silly. If you do any gaming on the iPhone, you absolutely need it symmetrically distributed. In fact, from a gaming perspective, I am actually very happy with the amount of bezel they have. It could be perhaps smaller by 10%. Anything smaller than that, virtual game buttons on the edge would be uncomfortably close to the edge to press.
Don't tell me, let me guess. ""This is the best phone we have ever built".
I know this is probably the new iPhone 6, I'm just hoping like so many here that we'll see something different tomorrow. How could they think that the camera lens protruding like that is not a design flaw. Why make the front screen bubble like? It looks childish and cheap and probably costs more to manufacture. I just don't see the purpose. On the other hand I do see the purpose of the bands on the back even though they look terrible they do have a purpose. I think Jonny has gone off the deep end on this one. I will probably be getting this phone as soon as it's released but I am not happy about this design.
Easy to guess. Why wouldn't it be?

Bahahah. Oh lord. Thanks for the laugh....
I'm at the point where even if these are fake, they will be so close to the real thing it will be difficult to distinguish the two.
I like it when fandroids use the rounded corners thingy as a reason why Apple did sue Samsung. Samsung to be honest (and I am using 2 of their products) are just as copycats as these guys with the fake iPhone 6 we are talking about in this thread.
Yes, it's getting way overused. It originated from the Destiny demo, now it's MacRumors' new "Safari is snappier." <_<
Yes, let's get rid one of the most useful and important features beloved by millions of iPhone users and make it look like some nameless and unrecognizable smartphone brand cos some guy on the internet doesn't like bezels.![]()
