I really like it. All the people complaining are probably the same ones who complained about visible screws on the bottom of the iPhone 4 leaked images. Regardless of that I will hold judgement on the taller screen until I actually use one but I can definitely see that while holding the iPhone 4 comfortably in one hand I have more vertical room my thumb can cover but the phone is at the limit for my thumb in the horizontal direction without having to roll the phone in my hand towards the palm. I have the feeling when people use this phone they will wonder why other companies didnt do it (as with most apple products)

I did a couple of overlaps to see what it looked like. The phone is definitely taller from what I can see, however, the screen looks to be the same aspect ratio. So ~4 inch screen and taller iPhone with headphone jack on the bottom, here I come! :)

I feel like the lighting is not doing the aluminum back justice. On the white one, the metal looks yellow.

Launch iPhone w/o newest version of iOS? I don't buy your theory.

Fair point but would apple launch a new iOS with out any apps. Think about it WWDC is for developers they need to know that the screen is chaining size. If they were to do it your way all the developers would see iOS 6 and develop for it at 3.5". So in fall when iOS 6 launches for the bigger iPhone they will have developed loads of apps that won't work and or look awful on the new 4" screen. The only way to actually gain any benift from the conference to to inform developers of what's changing.

Again, I don't understand the mismatching colors at all. Why a rounded rectangle would be sliced in half by a blocky different color is beyond me.

Does anyone else think the large speaker holes and horrifying back plate screams "cheap"? There has to be someone else!

Totally agree. I doesn't look like an Apple product at all. It looks very cheap.

The front plate and steel band are plausible (although the latter does look strange at the bottom), but the rear plate is outright ugly and disgusting.

I think it looks just fine. I remember when the iPhone 4 leak came out everyone commented it couldn't be the new iPhone. They said it was ugly and full of seams. Then we found out it was the new iPhone and everyone who said it was ugly then proclaimed it was the best, most beautiful design ever made. :)

I do like the headphone jack on the bottom but why would they move away from the 30 pin jack when hundreds of millions of devices out there use it. Makes no sense.

Making 3rd parties develop and sell new designs will maybe help the economy a little?

OK, I wasn't happy with design of iP4, but I somehow get used to it.
But if this is a new iPhone, then I give up and my next phone will be something with WP.

Is anyone else also concerned with this cheap design?

Interesting things to note:

The little hole between camera and flash. Most likely the microphone moving up for better audio capture with video recording, making both openings at the bottom speakers only.

The band around the black model seems to be black as well, yet the same color of silver on the white model as on the 4/4S.

Camera lens looks even better.

Remember the microphone is needed for calling, I'd imagine we've still got mono audio out of it.

The black metal is nice, one hopes that the metal alloy is impregnated with colour, hope it doesn't scratch like the iPod nano's and minis! If that's that case, you know people will be clamouring to get this on a Macbook Pro now...

Has anyone considered that a headphone jack on the bottom will reduce the chance for rain to enter the phone and thus make the water sensor react in the bottom of the headphone jack?

Does anyone else think the taller phone will make a great remote control for the impending television set?!

I think so...

Mmm

THis is Fake! I don't think they would choose such an ugly grill for the speakers.
Plus Steve Jobs also hated painted black metals, Because of the reason that smudges show easily . I don't believe this is real at all. :p

How can you be concerned with something that doesn't yet exist? For all we know this could be fake or one of 100 prototypes they did that may never see the light of day.

I HIGHLY doubt they are going to change the dock connecter like that or make the back look like the picture. Apple does NOT do things like this no matter what anyone says.

These pictures are just fakes or some type of prototype's to catch someone leaking info out.

Ah, good call on the necessity of the bottom mic. With everything I do on my iPhone I sometimes forget it is a phone. :p

That has got to be the ugliest iPhone ever! WTF is going on with that different coloured band on the back? Why is it all shiny on the antenna?
Jeez did Ive let the interns do this one!

Agreed. It's ugly. What's up with the black band on the black model? There are way to too many stops/sections for this to be a true leak. Duo tone back? Come on. BS.
