So I guess that we should expect that the iPod Touch has a 64gb hd and the iPod nano has 32gb capacity. I really want the camera to be decent. then i might have to invest in one of these bad boys

It is impossible to assess validity of these sort of promotional pics that have been photo-shopped to hell.

They just look like mock-up pics to show off the cases to me, and don't hold up much weight.

(If they're real, they better lock their doors before the good folks fro Foxconn's security division pay them a visit. :) )

LMAO at the Foxconn comment :D

this is how you kick ass!
Sony, should take a damn lesson. That MYLO crap they got is an embarrassment comnpared to the ipod touch. Apple is so way ahead of the game itis a shame. And you know what, the competition knows what time it is but they so how just can't do it.
While the touch and the nano will get cameras, then jail broken to do video(if it ain't doing video out the box), MS and that zune trash will be left in the dust.
Man, zune had just gotten a svelte form factor while Apple's been doing theirs thin for years.

Viva Apple!!!!!

Wouldn't necessarily expect a camera on the Nano, but there's nothing wrong with it. (As long as the price doesn't go up a ton!)

no chance that apple are going to upgrade the HD space now that they have put cameras in. even if they do the price will be considerably higher and most people will not buy it at that price.

HD Space? The only iPod that still uses a hard drive is the Classic (which is why it's still sort of huge compared to Nano and Touch) The Touch uses chip-based storage (which is like a thumb drive, no difference in size, but the storage space keeps climbing with time)

I'm willing to bet that Apple will release a 64GB Touch (making the line-up 32GB and 64GB to replace the now 16GB & 32GB models) with no difference in the pricepoint. It seems like a lot now, but in reality, with the way games are going on the Touch, I wouldn't doubt seeing games & Apps staring to venture into the 1GB+ file sizes (as some already have)

The camera would be a neat option, especially for those who like to post on blogs and MyFace, then they can post straight from their Touches. I'm also willing to bet the camera will be the same as the iPhone 3GS. The more Apple buys in bulk, the bigger the discount they recieve on the parts.

Yay! A camera! I think it's interesting that they're keeping the 802.11 antenna in that certain spot though... it looks strange.

i highly doubt its for the purpose of how it 'looks' although it does look kind of strange there.
the ipod touch is filled with components, and they had to cram a camera in there. why do extra work by moving previous components around?

and for the cases, all of the purported cases look similar. I myself am pretty convinced the iPod touch will have a camera. I dunno about the Nano. I kind of wish they left the nano without a camera.

ill believe it when i see it. its not like i'm dismissing the idea, but after the amount of iphone case and changes in the iphone, I'm just reluctant to believe these case rumors. hopefully theyre real

Strangest looking camera cut outs I've ever seen.

I'm calling this bogus!

The pics anyway, I could see Apple offering a high end Touch with camera though. I'd rather see 128GB in Touch though. If they do do a camera we could hope for a point and shoot quality CCD. Yeah I know a bigger lens but it would make for a more useful device. The idea being that cell phone quality cameras are dime a dozen and all over the place, so a better quality camera is more attractive.

The big problem with cameras is that the devices will end up getting banded from places that don't like cameras. This could be a huge problem for Nano which is often seen in gyms.

FAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Why would the camera be in the top-center on the ipod touch versus top-right on the iphone. It does not make logical sense. The two models are like sisters of each other when it comes to exterior design. So, now your telling me they're going to change that design. Why would they put the camera right in the middle of the memory and processor chips. I would think that its easier to put it outside of the chips just like they did with iphone.

FAKE!!!!

THe top middle of the iPhone houses the Sim Card. Also, the Headphone Jack is on the Bottom of the Touch, but the top of the iPhone. The Speaker in the iPhone is external while the Touch has an internal one. iPhone has metal button, Touch has black plastic. Point is, they have different hardware arrangements.

Point taken !

I didnt think people used these cameras that much. Apparently I'm mistaken. On second thought, my sister has hundreds of pictures on her iphone.

My point is, if you want to take decent pictures, buy a point and shoot. I would rather have a fm option than a camera. That is just me.

I don't really like the placement for either one of those camera's, especially on the nano. Looks like your hand would cover it up.

I wonder if the iPod Touch will get that 5mp camera that was rumored awhile back. Not that it matters with the crappy lens, but HD video would be a nice feature.

I doubt it will get a better camera than the iPhone, although, the iPhone 3GS is more than capable of 720p HD, it just isn't enabled.
