November 16th is also the anniversary of the Beatles 1st appearance on American TV (in 1963). Makes sense. Jobs likes tie-ins like this.
I'm a potential Beatles fan who does not have any of their music at this time. If the catalog is a decent price, I'll probably pick it up.
The Macrumors forum is always really negative after an Apple announcement but if this was all just for the Beatles then the negativity would be justified. We know that Apple come out with some massive and outlandish statements but they are usually right in a way.
This is would just be ridiculous if it was the Beatles. Yes they are a massive band and one of the most influential and popular but its just a band. Its really not gonna make me never forget this day.
I've got my fingers crossed for something special.![]()
Zappa was not a fan of the iPod to express it politely. Apple will just keep his stuff on the offerings but no special arrangements.

Lots and lots of burned out hippies and flour children with graying hair, iPods and iPhones ready to drop $50 to $100 for all the Beatles albums on their iPod that they don't have to rip. That is also all the cover art that they will stare at on their iPhone during business and PTA meetings.
Not you!
Has Apple ever done this before? I know that in the past they've generally themed their announcements around the product, but never actually putting hints...
